I have never seen such a huge tortoise from close. They seem to like you or maybe only the salad 😘 as you always have to move away from them. But you do the right thing, because who knows how hard a tortoise can bite? It's a good location, and I look forward to more reports from Zanzibar.

they like their salad, normally they are well fed there, and every visitor gets their portion of salad to feed them :) but, you never know, After all, it is their territory, I had to be respectful to their boundaries :)

It is a good idea to show your encounters with local animals in your travel videos. The reindeers in Scandinavia were funny too. If people only show old buildings or talk all the time into the camera, it is not so interesting. Another idea is to let local people say something in the local language, like "Masha and no bear" in Suaheli 😉😍
