Revealing that Desdemona was actually a synth and that there was no real war against the Institute at all, and Shaun used her to get his father to come to him. It would justify why half their quests are just the same but you do slightly different things. Because the Railroad is a puppetshow.

Makes me laugh that they’re just like “you’re lucky we don’t just kill you”. Dude literally has a way in and out of the institute on his arm, I know trying to kill the main character in any game is an exercise in futility but considering they’re literally living on borrowed time if they don’t get a serious win soon, if I was in their position, I’d be hacking off the SS’s arm for his pipboy before even saying a word, I mean it’s literally that or wait for the BoS or the Institute to show up. No wonder they’re getting absolutely hammered when you first meet them. Edit: also I love how “they don’t kill people” when talking about the SS, but when destroying Liams/patriots life, killing everyone he loves and using him for all he’s worth they’re just like “ehhhh, ends justify the means, let’s never talk about this again” 😅

@@CrashmoreElectricBlue its bc they wanted to free all the synths by getting you to infiltrate. by killing him you not only expose possibly the ONE flaw to enter the institute, you show yourself to be incompetent in the eyes of the railroad. you were given a mission and fucked it up royally. bethesda fucked up fs by not giving them unique dialogue for it

Yes... Because the railroad needs you to infiltrate the institute. You can't do that if you're banned from the institute. . I'm genuinely baffled why so many people don't get this.

I only join the Railroad for the ballistic weave and the pistol. And them later kn with the BoS for that sweet Vertibird taxi or the Institute. Always the best part of the playthrough.

it's not the same voice actor, Desdemona shares her voice actor (Claudia Christian) with Aela the Huntress and other stoic voiced ladies in Skyrim. Delphine is voiced by Joan Allen.

"All actions have consequences." - Pagan Min, Far Cry 4 This is what happens when you don't finish Railroad quests. It's kind of an error, but it leads to "you're now an enemy". But real lesson here is, never leave a task unfinished.

you can edit both player models in the intro, and Shaun will have a skin tone that's a mix of the two of them. so I guess at the start of the playthrough they made Nora black

I don't like the Railroad. I've been playing the game for 6 years, 3,000+ hrs, and I just don't like them. They only help people if it's to their benefit. Their excuse of, "There's so few of us left." is just an excuse. I don't like the Minutemen, either primarily 'cause your character has to do all the work even in the end when there are squads of Minutemen out there that can be sent in your stead but the Minutemen help regardless of how many there are of them. That's the huge difference between the Minutemen and the Railroad and the Railroad are hypocrites: they only help synths that look like humans; they don't help all synths. One would figure that they would have captured lower level synths and reprogrammed them to help on their side like in Star Wars or other Science Fiction stories but no, they only help synths that look human so, to me: they're not even worth joining 'cause, in the end: they'll destroy themselves. As an aside: I also don't like Brotherhood of Steel 'cause they're bigots and don't like the Institute 'cause they want to turn everyone on the surface into synths with the humans in the Institute being the only humans left controlling all the synths. Yeah, 'cause that wouldn't bite then in the ass, in the end. There are no good factions in the game. They're all bad, in my opinion which is why, in my current game, I'm joining none of them. 300+ hr game and everything is so much more peaceful: no Minutemen, no Railroad, No BoS, no Institute. Sure I run into dead Minutemen and Railroad people, there's Danse and his gang but I haven't been there, and some location have synths but basically, everything's quiet and peaceful and fun. Well, minus all the Raiders, Gunners, Super Mutants, bugs, animals, etc., but you know what I mean...hopefully.
