Visiting the American Girl Store in Nashville, Tennessee ! + Haul

Looks like a fun trip! I still miss the Seattle store 😢. I think the trunk is plastic because wood would be too heavy for little girls to carry around. All the historical dolls have such small collections now! It’s so sad.

Re: the Diwali outfit that was on 122... it stained our Sonali doll and we had to get her limbs replaced. They did a second run that was supposed to correct the issue but never recalled the "defective" one, which I think is messed up. And I've heard from some people that the new one has the same issue (discoloration in the armpit area). We got a replacement for ours but haven't put it on anyone yet. I've heard doing a vinegar wash first should lock in the color but we haven't done it. If we put it on a doll, it will only be for a couple of days for photos, just to be safe. Sonali was in it for about two weeks that first time.

Loved this! I'm in England so we don't have AG, we only have Our Generation and Designafriend. I recently got into AG but not much of a selection from UK sellers sadly :( I picked up a cheap Truly Me doll off Vinted, her face needs a touch up but I love her. Getting my first in box doll sent from America this month! I'm getting a brand new Claudie and a secondhand vintage Samantha. So excited!!! Thanks for sharing your store visit with us! That was really fun. And your sister is so amazing to not only take you there, but also to buy you such nice outfits. :) I also have Maryellen's Poodle Skirt outfit and I love it. The saddle shoes are so adorable. And I LOVE that you got the Wellie Wisher earrings - the colors are great! I've looked on eBay for those, but they are always priced crazy high. Thanks again for sharing everything!!

Nashville is one of the stores I really want to go to! I’ve never been to the city, and it looks so fun. What a great haul! I especially love Melody’s and Maryellen’s outfits, but have always thought Rebecca’s looked better on Caroline! The color and empire waist is so perfect for her and her time period.

One Word is enough: wonderful place. If there is something that I, as italian, envy you, it is this A.G. stores: a true heaven for everyone dolls passioned 🤩; I have to settle for look the new items on the webside and have my purchases sent home (how expensive it is!).

How fun that you were able to travel with your sister! I love that. The footage of the AG store was great! I miss my local AG store so much! It closed in February. (it was called the San Francisco AG Place, but it was actually located in Palo Alto, California) I really enjoyed seeing the displays and loved the photos of your doll along side some of the displays at the end. (yes, I watched the whole video! I always do. 🙂) oooh, Rebecca's Blue dress is on my wish list! It's so pretty! I don't have Rebecca, but I do have Caroline. I have Melody's Daisy dress and Maryellen's Poodle Skirt outfit, too - and yes, they are worth every penny! It was so nice of your sister to buy them for you. 💕 Have a great week!

I also like Rebecca's Beforever Meet Outfit better than the original Meet Outfit. I just think she looks better in the purple. That said, I do like some of Rebecca's original collection. Her movie dress....AHHHH! I LOVE IT! P.S.: I was this video's 400th like. Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the store. As for your Maryellen Poodle Skirt, I recommend trying to poof it out by putting something poofy underneath it. That way, it can look like there's a petty coat underneath it and help it to look more historically accurate.

The original Diwali outfit did stain dolls but American girl re-released it so i hope they made changes. I have it and have no issues. Stephenwinterdancer opened the AG calendar and the Our generation calendar on her youtube channel. Winter princess was always under 300. I have Rebecca and that outfit love it. Melody's outfit is great. You got great stuff and thanks for the store tour.

I agree with you on the advent calendar - you shouldn't know what you're gonna get! And $50 is a lot for such small stuff - if there was food and an outfit or two in there - then yeah $50. Even lego's advent calendars are $30...c'mon AG!

Closest AG Store to me is in NYC😮.¹ day I hope to visit there.i just started collecting AG Doll's, an I Love them alot however all AG stuff is sooòo Expensive 😢‼️😢.Recently I heard about "Temu" an I can order on line an get it deliverex [Free] 🥰 Temu has alot for 18" Doll's, BEST thing being eah item cost a few cents yes cents up to a few Dollar's.
