At 29:10 the animal in the enclosure is called a Binturong also known as a bearcat who’s closest relatives are genets and civets not related to wombats at all. Great video :)

When I was In Malaysia or Thailand I went to a beach and went through the grass around the island and I saw a kimono dragon staring straight at me. If I wasn’t with someone else who knew what that thing was I would have been lunch. We legged it so fast back to safety as she was protecting her young. These things are MASSIVE!

Visited Australia from the uk and went to the zoo in mid Nov 2022 on the way up to Noosa from Brisbane. Fantastic zoo. It was Robert Irwin’s Birthday and they played a video of his dad which bought the guy to tears. Love the fact they feed the crocs chicken with the feathers still on and that you can get up close with (most) of the animals.

Another amazing vlog Shawn & Charlotte. I grew up watching the Crocodile🐊Hunter on Animal Planet here in the US. Steve, Terry, Bindi & Robert made it so much fun to watch. Was so heartbroken💔when Steve passed away. He's buried there on the zoo grounds. Steve Irwin's legacy lives on. May he rest🙏in eternal love & peace. Nice to see Robert following in his father's footsteps. Love you guys.

Great video, the Steve Irwin bit literally burst me into tears! So glad they honour his legacy. I also want to ech some other comments that this was Charlotte's best video simply because she complements Shawn's general excitement and reaction/ initial surprised commentary with her clearly deep knowledge so brilliantly and she is getting so good on TPW too. This may sound a bit odd - but you two show me me what life could be like if you really wanted it to be.

the tiger enclosure here reminds me a bit of the tiger enclosure at the San Diego Safari park (my personal favorite zoo I have been to) they are both very well themed. this looks like an amazing zoo!

What a great zoo. That crocodile show was unbelievable. Like you I was on the edge of my seat when the guy was in the water with it. Not for me I’m afraid. Same with the reptile house. I don’t trust anything that moves sideways across the ground. I loved Charlotte’s genuine excitement at seeing the koalas. All the other animals were in great compounds and so easy to see. A lovely trip with a great gift shop at the end . Thanks for showing us around.

I lived in Broome, top of Western Australia. My mate lived on a mango farm and they had a pet Kangaroo called Rocky, his mum had been killed on the road, so Rocky was orphaned as a joey and they took him in and raised him. He was a lovely boy 🦘

Just wanted to add going forward maybe it would have been a good idea to have purchased a memento for your museum back home .....it is after all a theme park of sorts and such a legendary one at the furthest point on earth you can go before your on the way back , take it from an old man and hindsight on nostalgia , even the littlest thing such as a fridge magnet (relatively inexpensive usually ) will bring back so many memories of that day as you get older , ask your mum, I bet there is things in the loft she kept from your younger years.....

Aahh the zoo.....what a stunning place , I love zoos , and that one has to be the nicest I've seen , had to laugh when Charlotte got the goat question , tough one but I saw her dilemma, koalas are damn cute , I'm so glad you went to the zoo , such a beautiful landscape and looked really clean .I've really enjoyed watching that , getting to see some awesome animals in such great surroundings was brilliant , thanks again for doing the zoo 👍

What a fantastic zoo,I saw a documentary years ago about a tiger enclosure where they did shows with the tigers and knew i just had to visit, but i didn't know where it was in Australia. Thanks to you, now I know 😁😁 so I'll definitely be taking a visit to Australia Zoo in the future. Tbh I was a little nervous with the guy and the crocodile as well, if he lets go too late then poof there goes his arm 😬😬😬, i think a litter picker grabber would be safer especially as the croc was starting to get a little wound up towards the end there. But other than that it seems like an excellent zoo that definitely had the animals at top priority. Enclosures and enrichment was excellent! Great vlog 👍

I love this Zoo Shawn, Shannan and I visited it many times while we were both active duty, even brought the girls on our last trip. So beautiful, and so in-expensive compared to Zoos here in the states such as the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. Enjoy your trip brother

I’ve been there, it’s amazing. There’s a really neat zoo not too far away where you can have a photo with a koala bear (you could when I was there anyway) at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary near to where you were staying.

It's a better channel the two of use. Shawn has so much skills with this channel and the other channel. He does well on his own too so can't decide what's best as I love all there vlogs they have ever made. Especially with parents would love to see Charlotte's parents Shawn's parents go for a meal or a day trip together. ❤️ xxxxx

Didn't realize how much you like animals. If you have time snd are going to Melbourne I would suggest 2 amazing zoos. Wr wrnt to both 4 & 1/2 years ago. 1) Moonlight Sanctuary you can spend the day there as well however we didn't have time. We booked into the evening. Going round at dusk. We petted or fed most animals. The animals are mainly native to Australia. They have /had an owl that is called a dog owl. It doesn't hoot it woofs. 2) Healesville Sanctuary a day zoo that every animal is native to Australia. Look them both up. If only time for onr would say do Moonlight Sanctuary in the evening. I have photos if you wish to see.
