Visiting the Beaver Dam and Working With the Beaver

It is the time of year when the beaver start working and building dams. There are two places where the beaver have building dams in a way that sends water flowing over the road. Over the last few years I have learned how to work with the beaver to build the dams so they can have their ponds and wetlands but the water wont flow over the road. It has been a fun process and I'm kind of excited to keep working with them to build the wetlands on the property.

honestly i think it's a great idea to work with the wildlife that's near you, like redirecting it so things can be self maintaining as opposed to putting in hours upon hours forever to try to stop nature. not even to mention the benefits they can provide as a result

It's my hope that I can work with the beaver to reestablish a large pond in our bigger wetland. I've been learning how to work with them so hopefully I can assist later. You are right that the maintenance and upkeep will be easier and the location will work with the land.
