I have an Ecridor Hypnose, where the patterns are inspired by the hypnotic circular motion of the testing machine. Caran Dache is one of the neatest instrument brands out there.

I just started to use my newly bought Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils today and spoiled my picture with scratchy leads. MOST disappointing, considering how costly they are. I will have to throw out the ones which are really badly 'glassy'.

@@eximiofacinora I feel lucky to live there and to be born there. It is really "safe". I live in the city but I love the Alps ... the mountains always amaze me, especially in summer ... but also in winter they are simply splendid. There is also a canton that I love! It's very close to mine, I feel great there, I don't know how to explain it- (yes, weird that I feel better in another canton and not the one where I was born I know haha) Everything is a bit expensive in general and maybe the same places are a bit boring, but I still love my country! (Sorry for my English I’m learning by myself heh)

I really like that Caran d'Ache artist pencils are all available as openstock - so I can buy just one or two at a time and make my own set as I go (and as I can afford them).

You're paying for quality but if you're not up for the price then you can choose a budget-friendly brand instead.
