Visiting the Dentist: A Guide for Pediatric Patients

Going to the Dentist is a video series based on a social story created by Midwestern University Occupational Therapy student, Carly Rascia. The goal is to give pediatric patients an idea of what to expect when going to the dentist and create a sensory-friendly environment for pediatric patients with sensory sensitivities. The series is a collaborative effort between the Occupational Therapy program in the College of Health Sciences in Illinois, the College of Dental Medicine-Illinois, and the Department of Media Resources at Midwestern University.
This project was developed by Dr. Carly Rascia as a part of her OTD Capstone Project under her site mentor Dr. Ahmed El-Maghraby DMD, MPH, FAGD and Occupational Therapy faculty mentor Dr. Divya Sood, OTD, OTR/L. Produced by the Department of Media Resources.
