I remember when she told missing girl Amanda Berry’s mother that she was dead. That broke her spirit and she died a few years later. Amanda was alive and was held captive for 10 years. It’s too bad she told her mother that she was dead. Otherwise her mother may have held out hope and remained alive to see her released.

Best line I ever heard about a psychic was from a Rockford Files episode, where Jim and Rocky were talking about the death of one of Rocky's neighbours.Rocky was saying how she was a psychic, and that she'd gotten hit and killed by a truck...Rocky asked of Jim : ".... Now, don't you think - if she was really a psychic - she'd have known the truck was coming, and would have gotten out of the way ?!" Exactly.

First of all, let me say that this was one of Lamont's finest serious videos. I rewound it a couple of times. Now getting to the meat of the matter, no psychic can throw a 50-yard touchdown at the drop of a hat like the legendary Doug Flutie when he played for Boston College. Especially if the chore is to do that repeatedly. What Sylvia Browne had going for her was a witch persona and the gift of gab and storytelling. It's watchable TV and that's why Montel Williams, a former Naval intelligence officer, took a shine to her. (No pun intended.)

My coworkers husband disappeared in the middle of the day to a grocery store a couple of blocks away and never returned. Ha! Reminds me of a Sylvia Browne book I read in the early 2000's. She included her supposed history of being "psychic". At one point she's married to her future ex-husband and he's a huge skeptic of her "abilities". One evening, she practices astral projection and leaves her body. As she's supposedly trawling around the house in spirit form, she enters the living room where her husband is asleep on the couch. She decides to kick over the andirons to shock him awake while providing "proof" that her alleged abilities are real. Because she's in "spirit form", her foot keeps going through the andirons again and again. Giving up, she decides to go on back to her body. However, she claimed to notice that she was leaving little footprints in the carpet as she exited the room. All I could think was "if she doesn't have to ability to affect physical objects like the andirons, how is her spirit able to affect the physical nap of the carpet in order to leave footprints"? Blew it for me... I knew them that she was full of poo-poo.

In the 90's, my dad died and no one told me for six months. He wasn't in my life growing up and both my mom's side and my dad's side hated each other. Because of this, when I found out he had died I had no closure and I was suffering over it. Around that same time, those ghost hunter shows and "psychics" like Silvia Browne were very popular. I made a HUGE mistake in trying to contact my dad in the spirit realm. I was also reading a book by Silvia Browne about the afterlife. I should have known better being raised in Church. Well, the night after I had used a tape recorder to try and pick up a message from my dad, I was laying in bed reading Silvia's book and I was physically attacked by a demon. I ran out of the room and the next night I was attacked again. Let me tell you, I asked the Lord to forgive me, I got rid of her books, I had a preacher come and bless my house, he prayed over me, and to this day I will not watch any haunted anything. You invite demonic entities into your life when you do this. You can believe me or not, I don't care. I know what happened and why and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Watch what you listen to and what you allow in your home.
