Station overview: Morganstown docks is a station meant to serve a dock near Morganstown. The station is located on the Greenslade branch, alongside Whitney green, Greenslade, and port Benton. The station opened before 1.0, one day after stations like Greenslade opened. The station was first upgraded in 1.4.4 and then upgraded again in 1.6, controversy, removing two of the platforms. As of 2.0.1 The station is served by four routes: Benton-Greenslade, Benton- Morganstown Newry-Greenslade, and Newry harbour to Morganstown. Express services were added to skip the station in 1.9, with routes to leighton, Lynn, Newry, and Newry harbour passing the station. Why people find it useless: Most people find Morganstown docks useless because it is located .10 miles from Port Benton, a major station also served by stepford connect. It is also .30 miles from Whitney green, which doesn’t have connect services going to it or express services passing it, but if Morganstown docks was removed it would be far enough, and it has Whitney green depot. Along with this, it’s also close to Morganstown and has an out of station interchange with East Berrily and Beaulieu park. Along with this, the docks aren’t very big, and, if in real life would be considered to be part of Port Benton. Why are people opposing this? As you can see in the above replies, some people don’t really agree that it’s useless and (Possibly) should be closed. Let’s look at the actual complaint one, since the other on is just talking about how it’s in the default royte you get from purchasing the operator. (Newry to Greenslade is the default route if you buy any waterline train for the first time) Mat jet: “So many people use it, Benton to Morganstown/Greenslade are the best routes for grinding points” The first part is Bassically the other reply (Default route stops here) But then, the interesting part is when he talks about grinding. See, Benton-Greenslade and Benton-Morganstown are the best routes for grinding, and getting points in SCR. And Morganstown docks does a major role in that. See, the best way to get the most points is to have a bunch of stations in a short distance, since you get 5/10 points for every stop you open at. Without Morganstown docks, the route (Benton-Greenslade) Would give you a lot less points, since people usually turn around at Greenslade and do the route over again. Without Morganstown docks, grinding would become a lot more difficult for players. What’s the solution to this problem? The answer is quite simple, and that’s take away the longer routes. See, people don’t usually go up to the Newry/Newry harbour branch. This is because starlike Newry and Newry harbour, and all the stations on the line, are further apart, and the Newry harbour branch has a 30 mile per hour speed limit. Sure, it’s usually 100, or 90, but those stations are far apart. So people usually terminate at Benton. So here’s my solution. The routes to Newry and Newry Harbour could skip the station (I would highly advise the Morganstown shuttle do to) And instead only keep one route, the most grindable route in the game. Benton-Greenslade. This would give the station a whole different feeling, kind of like the old upper staploe in 1.7 (Before the default route stopped there) And what’s more, the station wouldn’t feel overused and feel less useless. So I think that’s the perfect solution. thanks I guess for reading all this
