I saw Kiefer's work in England a few years ago and I've never been the same since. Thanks for the camera work, looking where I would want to look myself. I have a preference for his paintings but obviously the lead bed installation would transmit some power in the space, an important message too. Extreme minimalism, not for me, tough going (same in music) as soon as content is introduced it's a relief. I did like the labarythian quality of the exhibition though. What spaces! What a visit! Good good good!

There you are! Welcome back, missed you. This museum looks like the back of my small college...pink energy is sponsoring this video, how fitting, considering the vertical pink sculptures that opened. As the hummingbirds visit the feeder...Kiefer....love his choice of material and use of color...I'm so amazed how artists can make big installations that only a big museum can exhibit...Turrell...planetarium-ish...where else can you exhibit such things? Swanson? Kaino's work is awesome...love words with image...I'm thinking about all the work that goes into placing all these installations. Pajamas...love Sol's approach to art making. Great setting for his work too...contrasting to those old brick walls and assume old wood floors. So far my fav. He has influenced my work. This exhibition is the most I have seen of his work outside of the Univ of PA show a few years back. I like them all A LOT. I like how they still hold his brand tightly. Thanks. Good to have you back.

Sol Lewitt. I liked his late career. And where in Massachusetts is the museum located? A reference would be helpful. Thanks as usual for all of your efforts. Great job.

I enjoy and can relate to all of the work of Sol LeWitt. Back in 1970 I had created a few works of art that would have fit right in with LeWitt's latter creations using bold and vibrant color effects and geometric shapes. So, you can see why I really like all of this. I think it is fantastic that this exhibit is so LARGE. Enjoyed your tour as always.

Lewitt was a one trick pony who produce d lightweight fluff. Kind of like the Mark Twain of visual art basically let them paint the fence I have to take a nap.

@@jameswarhol442 , I don't fully know Lewitt or his process, but I appreciate the final results. Now, as far as the process of having others apply the paints to create the image, some of the Masters of old did just that same process. Creation is the thought process - the application is the fun process.

There's a large relief sculpture in downtown Chicago by Sol LeWitt titled Lines in Four Directions, which is comprised of four square panels of etched steel. Sadly, this amazing work of public art is often overlooked as it's installed on the side of a building that's now a Dunkin' Donuts. LeWitt was correct that it's really the idea that makes it art. The execution can be purely mechanical. As a suggestion for a future video, someday you must go to Houston and tour the campus of The Menil Collection, which includes the Rothko Chapel as well as separate buildings for Dan Flavin and Cy Twombly.

Did you go on from N Adams to N Haven for the Bridget Riley retrospective? Hoping for an equally great video of that. (Fine time to ask of course since it closed in late July! But it was superb.). Turrell & LeWitt look superb. Thanks.

TY for the discovery of Sol Lewit's early works, my favorite and Glenn Kaine's installation, seems quite an experience! As for Anselm Kiefer, once you've seen one of his exhibits, you've seen them all: sad, desperate, very moving ...

For those interested Mass Moca is one of a trio of art museums in western Massachusetts. The other two are wonderful and located in Williamstown MA. Moca is in North Adams Massacusettd. The Joseph and Francine Clark Institute is located in Williamstown MA as is the Williamstown College Museum of Art. They are only 11 miles from Moca in North Adams making it a great art getaway trip in the beautiful Berkshire mountains area of western Massachusetts. Thanks Mary Lynn.
