Visiting the pubs in Shrewsbury

I was born in Shrewsbury in 1960, played dart in the town and visited most of the pubs, most of which are not in this, but they are well worth going to.

I was born & bred in London where I still live. My dad was born in Shrewsbury & I love the place. I wouldn't mind moving to Shrewsbury. Great video.

I was brought up in Shrewsbury and now live in West Australia, haven’t been back home since 2014. Brings back some memories seeing these. Took my son in 2014 and as he is 6’7” my old school mates took us to every single low roofed old pub in town.😂😂👍

@@stevewilson1600 to be honest I can’t remember the names of all the pubs. Growing up a mate lived in the Wheatsheaf near to top of the cop, another mate lived in the pub halfway down the cop on the left side. My mates and I often did a pub crawl all over town when we were home on leave together. Fond memories.

@@davedevries5866 ah the Wheatsheaf, that was the first pub I went into, Henri Quinn was the landlord, I played my first season of darts there I think it was in division 5 in 1977/78. Had my 18th party there, oh what memories.

As you've had no reply. I as a Shrewsbury las would suggest the dun cow for food and the nags head for a drink then follow the road in too town

If I'm not mistaken the guy in the led zep tee shirt is Pete Ellis a proper real ale and music nut who used to live in Whitchurch. A lovely fella who I haven't seen in ages. If you are ever in Shrewsbury and fancy a good beer and really good food try the Armoury which is by theatre Severn right on the river. Not cheap but you get what you pay for, cheers, Cuzz.

If you do go to the Armoury they've usually got the three tuns xxx on and about 5 other guest beers usually brewed locally. On a nice day you can sit outside with your beers and watch the river Severn rolling past. I live in Whitchurch which is 20 miles north of Shrewsbury but it's such a lovely place we go there quite regularly for a drink and something to eat. Keep up the good reviews and keep supping them brews - you'll live forever !!!!!!

Born and raised in Shrewsbury 80’s and 90’s and got married there. I recommend the Old Post Office and the Wheatsheaf if they’re still there. Oh and don’t call it Shrowsbury unless you want people to think you’re a dickhead. It’s SHREWSbury
