Hello Marica, thank you for making all these very helpful videos about visual merchandising. I'm a fashion merchandise graduate and I'm going through plenty of interviews with brands. I have a question and i wish you could help answer this for me: As a visual merchandiser, what can we do to current collections in store and the collection that arrives on the day itself to increase more sales on occasions like Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Thank you! :)

Hello Cherrie! thanks for your comment :) Products rotation is crucial in these case: remember that the front areas of the store are the most relevant in terms of sales but also new collection must be positioned in a place that is visible from a sale area. Sales area will be with really high density and really packed, instead, the new collection must be really well displayed and tidy. this contrast will do 2 things: 1st identify in customer minds the value (and price also) of each sector, 2nd by having the first area "messy" and packed and the second shining and very tidy, the customer will be attracted by that as our brain look for tidiness. hope this help with your doubts :)

Thank you Marica for you answer. Last month, I went through 3 rounds of interviews with HM for the role of Visual Merchandiser. First round I had with HR & Store manager. They really emphasized a lot on working culture and scenarios among team works. Final round was with country VM manager. She didnt' really ask me much, still focus more of my capability of handling stress in fast pace fashion environment. And now they are checking on my character referees and old internships' bosses. I have never seen any companies that doing such an intensive background check up. I did use the answer you gave me to show them my point of view towards the impact of VM in fashion retail. Hopefully I will be selected. thank you once again! :)

Thanks for good video! I am designer at luxe department store and have a question. Does windows design have a specific points and characteristic that accordied to whole windows design sphere? I mean what thing at windows are permanent at any seasons?
