Console people. Your fight is with field of view. Huge difference is what input and FoV you are at. If you are getting a new console. 60 frames + a FoV slider WILL BE a night and day difference. There are basically 3 total subfamilies now. 140s and 120 sharing the same stability ( universal) and then 180s. The 120s all have low inherent stability.

So happy to see this. Stability on hand cannons has been such a mystery for so long.
@Un4gettablewolf4 жыл бұрын
The same thing works on bows with accuracy. Having a subtle with 100 accuracy feels allot better than one with 95 accuracy. The change may seem little but when using it, it's like having a 100 accuracy passes some sort of threshold. I also seen this with 450 ARs. If you have one with about 80 range, your shots seem to connect very well and it seems like it has a increased aim assist. Anything lower and you really start to feel like it's slipping.
@GIyphix_4 жыл бұрын
I concur with that statement on 450 ARs. I’m using Dynamic Sway/Disruption Break Uriels in pvp and it’s range is around 84-86 and it is much more consistent than my other Uriels and Braytech Werewolf
@Un4gettablewolf4 жыл бұрын
@@GIyphix_ yep exactly. I have some old ringing nails with 84ish range and for some reason the consistency just goes way up compared to anything with less. My old breytech werewolf has 95 range and it feels unbelievable. Too bad 450s are in a tight spot.. as for 600 ARs, I say anything over 60 range and you can have some very sticky shots. When I look for them I always try to have 60+ range and 60+ stability. I think that's the sweet spot. For hand cannons on console, I try to find some with 70 stability or more. 60 range is good enough but with a 70 stability, you can afford to miss a few shots if they aren't all the best
@GIyphix_4 жыл бұрын
@@Un4gettablewolf I honestly suggest trying out Uriels in Crucible. If you have a Dynamic Sway roll and solid range stat. It actually can contend with 600s funnily enough. The only one I struggle with beating out is Summoner and the obviously proc KC Gnaw.
@Un4gettablewolf4 жыл бұрын
@@GIyphix_I have quite a few God rolls on the UG but only one has the 80 range threshold. Has a 45 stability but it also comes with dynamic sway and moving target. I hope it works good as I have a big soft spot for 450s. I just wish they were a little more deadly

I could've just told you ;-; I never tested it all out number for number but I remember just getting a 150 HC with 68 stability and I knew this was the correct feel for controller. I don't know what's a good stability for 140 or 110/120 but the stability doesn't need to be as high because of the fire rate and the pull back to the center point

It has felt so smooth and crispy and I feel good about dueling in the shortened range handcannons are currently in. Honestly hadn't even thought about FOV being a factor in recoil but when you said it, it made obvious sense that it would of course be a factor. I'm really hoping 60fps and FOV slider will make as big a difference as I hope to hand cannons. By far my favourite weapon type in the game and dropped them largely due to the range nerf. Looking forward to getting back to using one in BL!
@RenegadeHunter10134 жыл бұрын
Well I don’t have enough gameplay to tell but I played on my friends PC a few times with controller, testing out 60 fps and 95 FOV. And handcannons with controllers feel a lot more comfortable. Recoil is still there but it’s not as jumpy so it feels mroe spammable, and plus with the FPS with the aim assist and reticle stickiness controllers get. I think HCs will be very d1 like if not better next gen

Hey CoolGuy, you might consider having just a thirty second bit where you have an animation tween showing minimum stability to maximum stability in one fluid scene using the stills that you've taken. I found a lot of this information SUPER useful, but it's hard to synthesize a visual idea of how good stability is from the comparison shots that you have, which are largely taking 150s compared to 140s within a specific stability level, rather than going bottom-up or top-down overall. Just something that would help some people SEE the distinction made by the stability stat a little more clearly.

I'm curious why you chose to test initial shots instead of muzzle climb. Muzzle climb is what really matters here, although you'd have to completey redo it after 150s became 140s. Stability, rpm, and to a lesser extent recoil direction (for hand cannons anyway) are what determine your muzzle climb. Rpm is a HUGE part of this, so I don't understand why you would be measuring single shots. Fire 3 shots into a wall at max rof (or 4 if you like), then measure the distance between the first and last shot. There'syour muzzle climb. You'll find that different rpm hand cannons need different amounts of stability to support their max rof. Wouldn't this have been much more useful? Side note: 150s got a defacto stability buff when they became 140s. Well, not really. What they got was a muzzle climb buff, because the rof went down while stability stayed the same.
