@@jcallen3 You're not being a noob, no worries! Many people who start programming have hard times finding out how to set up things, like pats an modules. You can find books or tutorials that will explain this to you, but it will be a specific way for each IDE you're using.

Cool video so thanks. I don't recall if you discussed templates much. You showed, for instance, how, by typing HTML + you were able to instantly create an HTML skeleton. But you didn't explain that you can create your own smart templates, and I think that's a pretty important feature for power users.

Very thorough and to the point video. Not a half hour of introduction or a 10 minute animated intro. Amazing. I do some scripting and I use notepad++ but recently visual studio code opened up a few times editing a php script and I really liked it. So I want to use it to keep all my scripts that I edit in the rare chance I’m editing anything.

How to run the codes? 1. Go to extension. The extension is located in the activity bar ( the left side of the screen above ). The extension is the one with the square icon, yes the last icon in the left side of the screen. 2. Search for "code runner". You will see an extension by Ng Jun Han. Install the extension. The extension has many users, what do I mean by many? You can compare it to other extensions, it has a big obvious amount of users. 3. Now leave Vs code and enter again. You will see a triangle button at the right corner of the code screen. Click it and the codes will run automatically. Feel free to ask any question. I will try to answer all of them.

You need to state which version of VS Code you are using. VS Code menu bars differ from version to version with drop down menu options using different names!
