As a child I was completely terrified of this song, the imagery was so striking! Now looking back at this as an adult, it’s really interesting that the song took such a strong stance against cocaine considering that at the time cocaine use was a such a popular and “sexy” thing to do. Really cool
@leahs.monderoy20728 жыл бұрын
I was 8 in 1989 when I first saw this video and it has stuck to my memory. For years I have been searching and finally, it has been refreshed. Creative and symbolic of a person who is under the control of cocaine and their struggles..the imprisoned mind. Beautiful. The tune and lyrics alone are majestic.

I'm someone who walks around randomly busting out 80s rock lyrics like Scorpions, Judas Priest, etc, and as i do it i pull up the videos for the kids to see what I'm singing. Just belted out this one and let them know this is 100% Trinbago flavour. Really thankful to see it online because i wasn't expecting it. Thanks a mil for uploading this in good quality.

An amazingly good song in so many ways. Ajala was an exceptional talent. Love its construct, vocals, melodies and wonderful video as well. As a child growing up in the 80s in Trinidad we had sooo much great pop singers. Tony Wilson, Oliver Chapman, Mav n Dave Elcock, Carl and Carol Jacobs, RF Jam..... Sad none of the next generation took up the baton..

Thanks so much for posting. I've been waiting to see the actual video of White Horse by Fire Flight from 1985. A duet between Francis Escayg & Evris Walcott. Who would later become well known as Ajala in the Soca World. Same fella. But was under a different name at the time in the 80's.

NP. Great video. I have a few records by the Soca Brass Band Fire Flight. They all were great to hear. All of the band members. Who have contributed of making the band a success like Allan Welch, Anslem Douglas, Carl "Beaver" Henderson (Arranger/Director/Keyboardist/Producer), Evris Walcott (Keith "Ajala" Sutherland), Francis Escayg, George Victory, June Morris, Patricia Holder, Steve Sealy and etc. I always thought the video would be in pure black and white? Here I am now seeing it after 2 days straight. It looks great to see in color and in black and white on certain scenes. Throughout the entire video.

*One of the best male falsettos in contemporary music. Ajala resurfaced in the 90's, but where is he now?*
@cool4rocknroll5 жыл бұрын
Ajala is still around today and he still look good for his age for 57. He still perform some of his classics. I think he might be putting up some new music for 2019? You can look him up on FB type in Keith Sutherland in the long box. That's his real name. You'll see his profile on there. He's cool people and down to earth. He had a number of hits like with his former bands like Fire Flight, Kalyan, Taxi and and solo artist "Heartbeak City" "Hard Life", Wantin U" "Brown Sugar", "White Horse", "I'm In Love", "Mornin' Lovin", "Break'Way", "Searching", "Careless Whisper/White Horse", "Doh Rock It So (Baron Cover)", "Soca Man Shortage ft. MC Dennis Hall (Lovindeer Cover)", "Jump Up", "Chip For Chip", "Doh Hold Mih Back", "Posse Jam", "Leggo (I Eh Hear Yuh)", "Jump Up And Get On Bad", "Rude Girl Party ft. General Grant", Native Voices (Sound Rev), "Stick It Up", "In De Air (Tidal Wave)", "Horsie", "Jump And Sway", "Rang Kang Katang" "So Nanny So So Nanny", "Bring D' Rhythm Down", "Chutney Rampage", "Soca Reggae Party", "Sugar Stick", "Stress", "Soca Music (Tribute)", "Stop Mucking Up", "Get Loose", "Gone Mad", "Gotta Do", "Simon Says ft. Cross Check", "On De Road", "Broke Out" "Wine Low - Amna Bataiah", "U Got Me", "Friends", "Behave", "Bumper Gorgan", "Right Now Baby", and "Stay". But he dominated the mid 90's with the Kisskidee Crew with Allan Welch, Anslem Douglas, General Grant, Kenny J, Shadow, and Sound Rev. Here is a link with Ajala with another fellow Soca Artiste Tony P. It was posted a month ago in January 2019. It's: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpPFdHyca7Chhas
