Beautiful landscape, fascinating cloud patterns and just a lovely video to demonstrate the joy that nature brings to us if we allow it to.

Good morning Kim, always great to see you on Sunday morning, I heard once, not to just look at what is in front of us with photography, but look up, down and behind. I also love clouds, and capturing a photo, one should realize, that photo, will never be seen or created again. It's amazing how a person can go out into nature and see it and feel it. I wish more would go out, rather than getting enjoyment from material things. Thanks Kim, have a safe and blessed upcoming week.

Hi Kim, clouds are very close to my heart and they always touch me with wonder. Sometimes they mirror the sand ripples near the shoreline saying to us that they are a part of the same capricious wonder which is the wonder of nature. So beautiful. The holographic colours you saw in the clouds were produced by the diffraction of the sun's light by small ice crystals that are suspended in the upper clouds; the air there is moist but also very cold, cold enough to form ice. It is a beautiful spectacle. A similar effect is seeing a diffracted image of the sun in the sky; it is a glow of light with lightly coloured halo. If you see one, have look on the other side of the sun because sometimes you will see another. The sky can be, and often is, mesmerising, Kim.

I'm pretty sure they are cirrus clouds (Fair weather clouds).

Kim, the clouds you were photographing are cirrocumulus or altocumulus depending on the altitude. Those looked quite high, so probably cirrocumulus. I live in South Dakota, USA and see them quite often, along with the iridescent clouds. Wonderful video !!!!!

Hi Kim , your video brings back so much good memories for me . I used to run along the beach to my work and to Findhorn in the late 80s and watched some spectacular sunsets I left in 96 . I took up photography when I was there as well , being inspired to record what I was seeing . Watching the fishing boats leave the harbour in calm waters and come back with the days catch . I have been all over the World with my work.. I still hold that area as a very special place in my heart to .Thank que Kim for a beautiful reminder just how special it is X

Watched a video recently on multiple exposure and composite images, your cloud images look like they could be used with this style, say as textures behind other images! Thoroughly enjoyed the video, I also grew up in a coastal town, albeit a holiday resort.😀

As the Danish author and poet Henrik Nordbarndt wrote: The year has 16 months: November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, November, November, November. But this year is very different.

Hi Kim been watching your videos for about 2 years same time as I've got into photography i like landscape, but try bit of everything I thought it was about taking pictures of stuff, but it's alot more, light, lines, composition, etc And it's so funny your talking about clouds, I went out other night to trossachs to do light painting with drone above a loch, and moon was out so included it plus it had this giant misty aura around it with some wispy clouds, pitch black in middle of the woods at 5 in morning ha ha but so relaxing, stayed till sunrise too, But when I put them on pc I noticed that the clouds look like a giant angel in front of the moon, and on the wing of angel there's wat looks like baby's face, and two days previous my daughter had just had my grandchild Erin ha ha I'm not daft people can see wat they want to in clouds but from going out to do one thing, Something else came into my photography much much more than just taking pictures, keep doing wat your doing Kim cheers

Wow! What a beautiful experience! Thank you for sharing this, Peter. It's lovely to hear how your photography has evolved and read your lovely experience at the Trossachs.
