Visualizing & Analyzing Integrated Deforestation Alerts

Global Forest Watch (GFW) provides visualizations of deforestation alerts enabling anyone to easily identify when and where deforestation is occurring in near-real-time. Given the complementary methodologies of the GLAD-L, GLAD-S2, and RADD alerts, GFW has recently integrated the three deforestation alert systems. During this webinar, GFW experts provided an overview of our integrated approach to visualizing deforestation alerts. We shared a comparison of the different alert systems and why we decided to take this integrated approach. We also demonstrated how you can access and utilize the integrated alerts on GFW and Forest Watcher.

This will go along way in safeguarding our tropical forests here in Uganda but the entire East and central Africa.
