The tools you develop are really valuable - but that you also takes time to explain how you put them to use adds a lot extra. Thanks, Zsolt!

This was excellent. I thought I would just dip in for an idea or two - ended up embedding it into daily note and making lots of bullet points under it! Sharing how we think about information architecture is so helpful in this complex digital world. You've got a lot of experience in that area and a passion to keep improving your systems, and that's why this was such a good presentation. Thank you!

I am your Chinese fan, and your videos are really beneficial. We have a 35-year-old curse for programmers here, that is, programmers will not be able to find a job after the age of 35. And your masterpiece made me see how creative good programmers can be and how bad age discrimination is in China.

Well I hear you guys don't have much racial diversity in China, so I guess you gotta find something to discriminate! May I suggest left-handedness instead? (haha, jk)

I've been baby stepping into Obsidian, aiming for that whole 2nd brain goal; and part of what you said in this video got me thinking: "can I have Obsidian notes for ANY folder on my system?" I mean, that'd at least give me a chance to make sense of my own folders, and enable me to better locate things. Moreover, with tags, I won't be tied up into deciding whether a picture should be in the screenshots, funny, or personal folders.

I respect your detailed explanation and enthusiasm; many of the points or components you mentioned really resonate with me I think I will definitely incorporate them into my system(which is much simpler); but GODDAMN some of the stuff you mentioned are just too insane to me; like if I were to produce daily notes with the level of details, including Geo tags and stuff, there is absolutely no way I could enjoy my actual holiday and be present with my family or friends to have a good time - it’s just too much- but too much just for me I know you guys are all enthusiastic about it

Hello - thank you so much for this helpful video!! One request - can you point us at some information re: the Brownfield - reality? Strangely I can't find much on the internet regarding this concept. Many thanks in advance.
@VisualPKM
@VisualPKM Жыл бұрын
Regarding brownfield reality - I like Tiago Forte's recommendation. He's view is, don't spend hours restructuring old notes... instead move all your all stuff in an archive folder, you can find and organize stuff there when you need it, and start a new structure "point forward" i.e. from today.

This is amazing. I aspire to this. Question- what do you use the research for? Like are the books you read for your job or jus because you are interested?
@VisualPKM
@VisualPKM Жыл бұрын
Both. I read because I enjoy thinking about those subjects and enjoy developing my own idea. I also read for work, learning new skills, improving my productivity, etc. I think the idea of "research" for non-academics (like myself) is a bit of a misused term. Research is really just following my interests one question after the other.

Hi The canvas does not load for me, the site keeps trying to load for a few moments and then presents me with a blank canvas. Am I missing something? Thanks
@VisualPKM
@VisualPKM Жыл бұрын
This could be just a bandwidth issue... the canvas includes a bunch of icons and thumbnail images. When you click the link Excalidraw will ask you if you trust the content you want to load. Once you click OK it will load the drawing. Try it from a different device, and/or different connection.
