Blue flames are hotter than orange flames so it's weird to think that when hades gets angry he technically cools down a bit

Since the flame always gets bigger in the movie when it turns orange, I think if it as him needing to maintain tight control to concentrate the heat on his head and when he gets mad he loses that control and it spreads out. So it's the same overall heat, but since it's more spread out it's burning less hot than when he's in control and keeping all that heat isolated to his head, if that makes sense 🤷
