Nurses do one of the most stressful yet important jobs I know, and it is a shame they are still paid and treated so badly over here in Germany. Whoever reads this, please be respectful to nurses and support them wherever you meet them. Thanks for the attention, and thanks for the video. Have a wonderful weekend "alltogether", as we Germans say ^^
@chrismanuel97683 жыл бұрын
Here in the US they do something like 94% of the work for the doctors but get paid less than 10% of their salary. It's a shame. The medical industry doesn't pay people what they're worth.
@guobibi3 жыл бұрын
How badly are nurses treated in Germany? My dad was forced to be a nurse over an engineer which he truly loves, and hes going to go to Germany to work there as a nurse. It hurts me a lot that he was forced to give up on his passion but I admire how he's doing it for my family
@marcel99713 жыл бұрын
@@guobibi About 9000 Nurses gave up their job in Germany during the Corona pandemic because of the bad working conditions and the way to low salary. Politics seem not to care to provide enough nurses, we lose more and more by the year. Understandable, because it is a very stressful job especially for the lack of nurses and even those doing it mainly as a passion are disappointed about how few time they have to really care for their patients. Or more like not to care for them in an appropriate way. Right now we totally rely on nurses mainly coming from eastern Europe with lower expectations, and everything would simply crash if they would stop working here in Germany. This in combination with the trend towards private hospitals forced to get profitable, which mostly leads them to cut down salaries and fire nurses, which again worsens the job routine for those remaining, screws up our Healthcare System for years. If you do not work as a nurse, it might not be catastrophic yet, but the trend is obvious. May I ask how your dad is forced to work as a nurse? Because of financial reasons, or are there any others, too?
@marcel99713 жыл бұрын
@@chrismanuel9768 It really is a shame, and in the long term very dangerous for all of us, too.
@guobibi3 жыл бұрын
@@marcel9971 I never thought that it would be bad there as well, because the monthly salary proposed to my dad could pay my school tuition for a year. I'm from the Philippines and we almost have the same situation, except private hospitals here have been corrupt even before the pandemic. The government doesnt care about us at all and our lockdown has lasted more than a year. After finishing engineering my dad was forced to be a nurse because there was kind of a boom in opportunities for nurses in the 70s-90s here. It produced too many nurses at the time and most became unemployed after graduating because hospitals couldnt accept more nurses. I guess they regret it now because at the moment the nurses working here are only working for a year or so to gain experience to go abroad. When my father still worked the ratio was 1 nurse to 15 patients on an average. Wards only had 3-4 nurses if it was a good day. It really shows how underrated nurses are.
