OMG how can Sonic be 30....? That makes me feel super old. I remember back in the day when he was huge. I think the speed was supposed to be a huge flex on Nintendo and they even had Nintendo antagonizing slogans. Sonic 2 I think was my favorite as a kid and I loved the Casino level. It has suck cool music too...so did that oil level. So I remember the airplane and I remember the fortress after but im not sure if I ever beat the game or not.

5:19 That's not Tails, that's Ray the Flying Squirrel! I remember the old sonic games where you couldn't save. My head hurt from playing Sonic Chaos on the game gear trying to beat the game. I made it to the final stage but I didn't win. I'm glad I don't have to play through entire games like that now. The only game I had to do that was for Sonic Chaos though because I was born when you could save games. Sega ultimate classic collection has eggmans mean bean machine in it. That game has so many sega classics in it! Sonic spinball is also included!

I'm an absolute sonic nerd, I know all the lore, I've played all the mainline games, and watched all the shows, I have plushies of all the main sonic characters on a shelf, and I have an action figure of shadow and sonic and classic sonic, and my 3ds is completely sonic themed, so is my Xbox. I swear I'm not obsessed 👀. My favorite sonic games are sonic advance 2 and sonic the hedgehog 2006. Any ways I really loved the asmr, and the Amy and tails roleplay videos where good too 👍 Edit: I was born in the US but I always called the Genesis the mega drive because I would watch red hot sonic and he's from the UK, my family has European in them so ig it makes sense (not really😅)

This is my most favourite book flip through you've done, I love Sonic! I've played a bunch of the older games in a mega collection (all on one disc), so I've even played that pinball one, lol. BUT my favourite will always be Sonic Heroes (as janky as it was XD), as it was my first Sonic game. I absolutely LOVE the music in it. I even played it recently to finally beat it, because I couldn't when I was a kid. It was a huge nostalgia trip, and I enjoyed every minute of it. PS: Love the NASA shirt! :D

Very chill. Like ones like this. I had the combo cartridge that came with my megadrive. It had sonic 1,2 and Mean Bean Machine on it. Then when I got Sonic and Knuckles it wouldnt work when you tried to put it in the top of the S&K cartridge. The thing was that by putting other Sonic games into the S&K cartidge you could play them as Knuckles. Only worked when I got Sonic 3. Also Im sure in the UK Sonic Blast was called Flickies Island?

I'm with you on the vibe of the "dark" Sonic games (and cartoons) not being as good as the more colourful, cheerful ones. It seems to me that it's generally the American audience that prefers the darker themes, whereas in Europe we tend to prefer the more vibrant, light-hearted style.

Have you played the new game? Sonic Frontiers? It's the 1st one I've played since Sonic Adventure and I really enjoyed it. It's got these mini levels that are kind of inspired by the classic 2d Sonic games and they're a lot of fun. I think you'd like it, you should give it a try if you haven't already.

Disappointing book. I've heard it's full of factual errors, and if you've owned these games, or have read about the games on Wikipedia, it has very little of interest. I was hoping that this would be more of an illustration book, but really it's just slapped together pictures that half the time you can see in the game manuals, or from the art sections in games like Sonic Origins, Sonic Jam, etc. I'm returning my copy as I'd be better off using the money on an actual video game.
