I remember reading this book a few years back. I got halfway through it and realised all the unused potential it had for the plot/location/characters etc and got so annoyed by it I never finished it. 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely obsessed with this series already. Ik a lot of people have said it gives off a bit of a horror vibe, and I def agree, but something about it makes me a little melancholy as well. The way she said the show goes on for “as long as you need” and reminded you to “eat all your medicine and not leave any at all” makes me feel like this circus is actually trying to help us. I mean ofc asmr is for helping you sleep, so maybe this a circus that appears to give you dreams when you just can’t sleep, to make you happy and help you avoid whatever nasty things are keeping you up. Maybe this was just fuelled by the thought I had when she said the medicine thing, thinking “medicine” definitely meant drugs, and honestly if this circus had to drug me to give me a great experience of innocent excitement and joy to get away from the state of the world right now, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad 😅

I am fully aware that the following is a complete assumption and that making assumptions is bad so I apologize for assuming but; so, essentially you might "have a thing for" a certain British accent (i'd write which British accent it is specifically that Jen has but there's essentially atleast one accent per city in Great Britain and I don't exactly know which specific city any specific accent comes from, but if I hear a British accent I can definitively say that "That's one of several British accents."). I also apologize for the run-on-sentence above.
