Making blamef the igl instead of getting a better igl was definitely a bad move, but don’t act like gla1ve wasn’t an issue on astralis during that time. Gla1ve from late 2021 - 2023 was pretty washed both as an individual and as a igl. Dev1ce in an interview with dust2 literally said that one of the reasons why they decided to make blamef the igl was because he was caught up with the current meta, which meant that gla1ve at that time was washed. Overall, gla1ve getting kicked from astralis was beneficial for him since he has more motivation now and so far has been doing a good job on ENCE.

The thing about gla1ve is astralis is that he was sort of done, a costant parede of rotating academy players and bad awpers everyone on the team changing position, conflicting roles, 2 years of trying to pull a sinking ship to shore, by the time device made his return nothing really had changed, hell you see it with how much that lineup did after gla1ve left and that was even better than anything gla1ve had to work with and they got I think a single semi at blast and that was it, gla1ve had to leave astralis but astralis never helped gla1ve, god only knows what gla1ve could do with the current astralis lineup
