Bikes from 2012 are better than 90% of the riders out there, so I always get a laugh at those whimpering about this bike not being updated.

Well, most people don't know what they're talking about. Bike was updated in 2019 and has 1 less HP than the 2024 Honda 250s. It's a good bike, people just have noodle legs and can't Kickstart the bike.

I think its funny that people whine that this bike hasnt been updated since 19 but the yz250 is using the same engine its had since 99 😆 and the frame since 05 but nobody complains about that.

@@bradleypatrickno it wasnt. The plastics and airbox have changed, its still the same frame since 05 and same engine since 99. Forks have changed a couple times but overall its still an early 2000s yz250.

Suzuki could sell a ton of these if they priced them correctly. The bike hasn't been updated in years. They could put an MSRP of $6500 on these and sell them all day long. Instead they price them within a few hundred bucks of the more modern bikes from their competition. Beating the competition by over $1000 would get a lot of buyers to take a hard look at this RMZ250.

Performance wise, this bike is basically the same platform I road in 1982. Love the water cooling and Full Floater suspension!

How much is the power and power curve different in the regular version (23 year) and this one (24 year)? Is there a big difference in engine power compared to the 22-24 year 250's other brands?

There are no engine updates to the RM-Z250 since 2019.

They have around 40 Horsepower stock, kTM and some other are around 44 hp But 95% of people's can't put these bikes to full use, I think it's plenty of power for the majority of people.

Can anyone post here what price you or your bud got one of these OTD price over maybe these last two years? I hear about deep price cuts but nobody will say what price they negotiated. Just as Covid was starting in Feb 2020 I had my local dealer in IN at $6300 out the door on an unsold 2019 RMZ 250 but was so concerned about Covid so I did not buy.

@fred_00 I read somewhere that Suzuki already has an electric starter ready to go into production for their bike but they choose not to bring it out. I am so old I remember when Suzuki was dominating MX with Roger on a 500 and Joel on a 250. Suzuki will rise again!

I think with the intro of the new Duacati ,and all of the other bikes coming out of Europe , think this is the end of Suzuki . Might be for the best anyways, as they cant even keep up with whats out there now, and with Europeans coming in now and swinging hard, think the yellow bikes are finally going to be coming to an end. Just my two bits!
