Vitiligo is a condition in which a person loses the color of skin in blotches. It not only affects the skin but also involves hair and can also occur inside the mouth. And vitamins and minerals help to improve the condition of Vitiligo.
1. Folic acid
It is found in vitamin B9 and helps to form new red blood cells which transport oxygen to body cells and gives blood its bright red color. Deficiency of low RBCs causes anemia and anemia boost the patches of vitiligo and make it more visible, which further causes tiredness, dizziness, and headache.
Along with it, It synthesis DNA and RNA. As well as produces new cells. If there is an adequate amount of folic acid in the body, new cells replace damaged cells that don't make much melanin.
Folic acid can be found in spinach, broccoli, beans, and chickpeas.
2. Vitamin B12
It is soluble in water, helps in the production of fatty acid, and helps in the proper functioning of the nervous system. Deficiency of vitamin B12 can cause constipation, hair fall, irregular periods, tiredness, and nerve weakness. Milk, tuna fish, and eggs are the sources of Vitamin B12.
3. Vitamin D
It helps to produce new protein and helps in the development of new cells or tissues. Early morning sun exposure gives Vitamin D to a person's body.
