*I had one of these before and it lasted many years and I used it a lot. It blends **MyBest.Kitchen** chops ,grates. Does most anything you would want to use it for. A lot of bang for your buck. A litlle loud however it so fast it is not bothersome.*

How does this compare with a Vitamix Creations II? The Creations II has a low and high speed switch where the pulse switch is. Does the E310, E320, or the 5300 motor spin at high speed equal to that of the Creations II with high speed switched ON when the 310,320,5300 dial is at 10? They all have the same motor. My sig other believes she will have to hold the pulse switch to get to the high speed. She believes she will have to hold that button on high for 5 minutes while our soups or smoothies are made. I cannot find an answer to what should be an easy find. All these reviews yet nothing compared to the older models... Vitamix themselves won't state or show how this button is used or if it even needs to be when making smoothies. From my perspective there is no significant use for the pulse button at all, especially if you can't get high speed like a Creations II. Please someone help me?

If the E310 does indeed have the same motor as the 5200, then why is it's maximum speed the same sounding pitch as the E320 and 5300 in this video, both of which use the lower max RPM (22k-23k RPM) 2.2 Hp motor, as opposed to the higher max RPM (27k) 5200 motor in the E310? Is the E310 artificially limited to the same lower RPM as the 2.2 Hp, 4-inch blade models even though it's a 2.0 Hp 3-inch model like the 5200? Something seems strange here... Vitamix needs to really be more transparent about different specs for different models. In fact it's becoming extremely annoying. Heck, I just found out that a lot of people seem to think the 5000 may be more powerful than the 5200 despite Vitamix marketing. And if the 6300 / Pro 500 uses the 3-inch blade and 2 Hp motor, then why is it limited to 22k-23k RPM instead of 27k like the 5200? I also heard that the G-series adjusts speed based on load but that this has been removed on the Ascent series. Is this true? I also heard that the Heritage 750 has some internal differences to it compared to the regular 750, it goes further than just being literally identical besides plastic instead of metal sides but rather there are some other differences that affect sound (lower volume on heritage models). Why is Vitamix being so tight-lipped about specs/features?

Hi! All great questions. I think these are better answered by Vitamix but honestly I think the RPM numbers are actually off from what they say the older models were, especially when actually blending ingredients. Basically they are all LOUD. I hope to do a decibel reading on all models in another video sometime it's just not at the top of the To Do list. I wish I could be more help!

Do you know if the speed- adjust-according-to-load was removed from the ascent line and if this is better or worse for overall performance? Do you know how much the 2.0 Hp / 3-inch models will suffer when they are the 23k RPM versions instead of the 27k?

Florian M Hello! The quality of the blades is exactly the same they use the same hammermill stainless steel blades for all of their blenders (just different sized depending on the jar size). The E310 is a brand new blender and the E320 is certified reconditioned (sold on their website). Both come with shorter warrantees to lower their sale price which is why they are considered a more affordable series of Vitamix models. Hope that helps answer your question! 😊 ~Tarashaun

Thanks for the video. I already purchased a 5300 from Amazon. They have many different colors that some need for their kitchen to look better it seems. I make berry smoothies. The seeds are whole in them from the ninja's etc I have now. Will do a comparison once it arrives. Adding ice cubes makes sense.

Ive been looking at the pro 750, but here in Norway, the cheapest price is around $1100 :S May decide to go with the E310 instead... Or maybe just the Nutribullet 900, which is only ~$175 over here. It actually scored slightly higher than the Vitamix Pro 750 in a test - but im sure that has a lot to do with the price...

Will check out that Omniblend brand, but i already ordered the Nutribullet RX, which seems really good at smoothies and soups... Just hope the quality is at least decent. They have at least fixed some issues with leaking, and a guy sells spare "drive socket" parts, so if this gets broken (which i believe it will) i can order new ones for just a few $... Other than that, i dont think i have heard of any issues with it...

Yes that is odd! Juicing with an extractor is better for certain things otherwise the fiber in whole food juices (like my 1 day blender juice detox!) is great for digestion plus the nutrition in the skin and seeds. :)

I have an e320 and it’s awesome. For some reason vitamix has the sizes wrong on the website they say it has a 3 inch blade but it has a four inch. It has the same power size and shape as the more expensive vitamix blenders. I highly recommend it. It doesn’t have an extra power switch on the side like some others if that means anything to you FYI.

the container is too small if you're serious about stuffing it with vegetables.

I don't know if you've reviewed or done an overview of the metal finish (stainless steel, granite, copper) clad models like the 760, a3500. Supposed to "quiet" them a little more. Wonder what the dB is with those models...Is the sound dB noticeable or is it marketing? :)

When I bought the 5300 a few years ago it came with the tall 64 oz container which didn't work so great for me as I needed smaller amounts. I bought a smaller container when at costco. Sadly i had a house fire before i even got to try it out. So now i have the E320, again, large container and yet to buy new. I haven't taken it out of the box yet even. But smaller container is on my list!! Thank you for going over all these even though I already bought the 320 and it came with the smoothie to go cup thing.

Were the db ratings measured when running empty? I would think filling at least to the minimum line or better half full with water would yield more accurate results.

Jack yes the DB rating were measured on low and high with no foods. It’s would be the loudest with frozen ingredients but not too much more with water. Just trying to give you an idea of the noise levels.
