John from www.discountjuicers.com/ compares the Vitamix Vacuum Blender Upgrade Container + Lid + Pump Kits by Biochef against the Dynapro DPS-2250 Vacuum Blender to learn which one of these vacuum blending solutions is best
In this episode, you will learn about the best way to blend smoothies, grind seeds into powder and make the most nutritious juice using a vacuum blender
First, you will learn about the price difference between these two vacuum blending options. You will learn about the significant warranty difference in both these options as well. You will also learn about the main benefits of vacuum blending and why you should vacuum blend instead of blending traditionally.
Next, John will compare each component of the vacuum blender piece by piece, including the carafe or jar or container, the lid, the vacuum pump, as well as the shape of the carafe and blade assembly. You will discover which part John likes better overall.
You will then discover how long it takes to pull a vacuum on an empty container using the biochef container or the tribest container.
Next, John will talk more about the customer support and warranty and the part most likely to fail on these vacuum blending kits.
You will then learn which of these vacuum blenders can better grind whole flax seeds into a powder more effectively. You will see the results and which option was able to grind to finer particle size and leave fewer unground seeds.
Next, you will discover which one of these will break down your nuts and leafy greens into a smaller particle size for the best tasting and better-absorbed smoothies. John will blend collard leaves and hazelnuts in coconut water that simulates a smoothie being made. You will learn if the Dynapro DPS-2250 vacuum blender or the biochef kit is a better solution to vacuum blend to grind to the smallest size and how it would compare to using a traditional non-vacuum Vitamix.
Finally, John will share with you how you can vacuum juice in your vacuum blender so you can make a juice with the highest yield and most nutrition by processing your fruits and vegetables without oxygen and grinding them to the finest particle size. John will process organic cranberries and pineapple to make a pleasant holiday alcohol-free cocktail. You will learn which one of these vacuum blenders is NOT optimal for vacuum juicing due to the carafe shape.
After watching this video, you will learn about the best vacuum blender between the Dynapro DPS-2250 and the Biochef Vacuum Blender Carafe + Lid and Vacuum Pump that fits all classic Vitamix models (does not fit the SmartDetect models including Ascent and Venturist)

A tip I just figured out with my Bio-Chef when doing celery juice. I usually have to shake it a few times during the process, but I started adding back just a little celery juice into the fresh cuts. (I do several batches at once). By adding the juice, no shaking out of air pockets. Can’t believe I didn’t think of this before, ugh.

So John - Do the Dynapro carafe and pump fit on a Vitamix, can they be purchased independently and, if so, do they also come with the 15 year warranty? Seems like the logical move for a Vitamix owner to get both the better pump AND carafe in addition to the better warranty.

I almost purchased the Biochef for my Vitamix but after seeing this video it’s a no go. Don’t like the lack of customer service and both the vacuum and blades seem to be subpar. The Dynapro is obviously a better machine but still saw quite a bit of foam on top of the glass of the juice in the final demonstration. For me it’s going to be a toss up between the Dynapro and the Kuvings. I make single smaller servings at time so the smaller carafe of the Kuvings would be just fine and I like the convenience of not having to use a separate device to vacuum. I’ll still have to give it some thought.Thanks for your helpful videos!

Sorry to tell you but I gave away my Dynapro Vacuum Blender because it would only pull a vacuum maybe 50% of the time and the vacuum itself died twice in one month. They replaced the vacuum and the carafe a couple times but I got too annoyed and gave it away.
@Victoria-bl4tw
@Victoria-bl4tw 2 жыл бұрын
@@huitrecouture Never bought the Dynapro. I actually opted for the Kuvings and they’ve just recently replaced it. The first failed to vacuum at one point and produced a strong odor. Since that time, it continued producing fainter odors while making anything with ice and/or frozen fruits. I’ve had the replacement for a week. The vacuum works fine but after the initial “new” odor that it produced, this one is doing the same with fainter odors while making smoothies with frozen fruits or ice. So far I’ve made 6. At this point I don’t know whether the machine does not handle frozen items well or if it’s because it’s new. I’ll give it some more time. However, it does seem to me that vacuum blenders are finicky and need tweaking. It doesn’t surprise me that some companies have discontinued them.

I love your videos (thank you for making them!). I trust all your slow juicing reviews, but I felt there was some bias in this video particularly. It’s pretty common knowledge in the blending community that the narrow container requires less tamping because it creates a more successful vortex. Maybe for juicing purposes, the Vitamix vortex is less ideal, but I’m not sure how that plays with the vacuum. Also the dull blades are viewed as a plus with the Vitamix for better blending and safer cleaning. Just a few thoughts I had after watching! Hope you keep making these great videos. They’re super helpful

I don't want a reconditioned or second hand one, Im prepared to buy a new Vitamix, but would love to be able to buy the closest thing to the TNC. which Vitamix model in your opinion would be the equal to the TNC?? I know the Dynapro kit can't be used on the newer models.....I use my kit on my old TNC still.... Thanks again John, SO much! I love you! :) BTW... @@discountjuicers Hi, and thanks for your response. I have a question regarding blendtec blending and straining to keep from oxidation.... in my mind, (and Ive been doing this in my vacuum blender) to go through the precess of blending, then squeezing through a bag... surely this causes just as much oxidation after all the work? man handling all the natural juices really feels even more oxidating(if that's even a word lol) than just regular juicing in my Omega slow juicer..... Would love your thoughts John. Thankyou:)

Yes, vacuum blending may increase your juice's shelf life, but how much more than if you simply vacuum sealed your juice after juicing? I had a $500 Amazon gift cert so I just bought the 2250 and it was one of the best moves I have made. With my big smoothies the 1050 would overheat and shut down after 20 or 30 seconds. @@LarryRichelli yes I had the same issue with the motor. There were two versions of the 1050. The first version had a crappy motor that needed replacing. Eventually they replaced it with the same Swedish motor that eventually became the 2250. On the bottom of your blender there is a serial number and a year. I was under the impression that I was getting the newer one with the Swedish motor. The Canadian distributor had made a mistake. When eventually it failed, I made a fuss to tribest directly and the sent me a new motor base 1050 with the new Swedish motor that is the same as in the 2250. They had two different versions of the 1050. The crappy one about three or four years ago, and the upgraded one. I love using my newer 1050 one now. I tested and compared it with the rpm of the 2250 and it is the same.

What is recommendation for an alternative tool instead of the nut bag?
@discountjuicers

Surely you can use a organic cotton pillowcase or even a hemp nut milk bag. The issue with natural fiber is that if you don't dry/clean well, they can mold.

Some people don't like fibre, and some people even think fibre is bad for health. But prolly the prevaling view of those who toss the insoluble fibre is that it slows the uptake of nutrients. As for me, I don't understand why nutrients should be absorbed quickly rather than slowly, so I'm on your side.

There are pros and cons to consuming fiber. I will make a video going more into detail. There are benefits for drinking it, but there are also benefits to NOT drinking it.

Interesting variation of homemade tape flap. I just use a small square of tape, directly over hole. Stays vacuum indefinitely.

John love your videos...I'm doing some serious research on juicing and what device will be the most efficient for me aside from wanting to juice fruits and vegetables for my health I also make a lot of homemade lemonade with different fruit flavors and have found that the slow juicer has given me the best result when juicing lemons with the rhine still on and not producing that harsh taste I would love to see a demonstration with the Nana J2 and the dynapro and the Vitamix vacuum blenders to see if the lemon juice with the Rhine would produce a harsh taste using the vacuum blender. I have bought two juicers so far on the cheaper side to be specific the NutriBullet juicer and the ninja cold press I like the concept of the ninja cold press but my issues are not being able to produce a large batch of juice in a short period of time and I don't like the cleanup with all the parts and pieces. And centrifuge juicers definitely do not give the results I desire. PLEASE HELP ME

I much prefer vacuum blenders to juicers ; don’t discard the fibre ,as you seem to do , which is one of the most nutritionally important components in the healthy ingredients !

John, another great video thx. Several weeks ago I had posted a link to a video in the comments section of one of your videos but I don't remember which one. Hopefully you have taken it down as it turned out to be misinformation. I was using a handheld orange juice squeezing device that you can find all over the net. It started out as a great idea and it really did a terrific job as I have some grip issues so the nut milk bag squeezing can be more effectively done for me with a Wells press, but like you said $400 and another device to clean. Anyway, squeezer device thingy worked great until a little prepressed knockout dislodge has from the pressure plate and causes a sharp edge which instantly tares the nut milk bag. So I highly recommend that if anybody comes up with this particular wacky solution that I thought was so wonderful save your 12 or 22 bucks cuz that was the price range I found or just use it for squishing oranges. So I'll just have to do the best I can with as much as I can with whatever grip I got. It's still a thousand times better than my slow juicer and that was a thousand times better than centrifical juicer. Thanks for being a lone voice out there with the vacuum blending and juicing this strategy is really the real deal pinnacle for liquid nutrition out there. Keep talking it up dude. I believe you are on The Cutting Edge of what will become a movement once people start understanding the realities and the benefits. It's a bit of a leap of faith to plunk down your plastic for one of these devices, But as time goes on I'm confident that it will catch on. How could it not? It's amazing!

why puncture the lid why not just place the jar with the lid on not tight in the blender container and use the pump to vacuum seal. easier that way and you dont destroy your lid

I had the older Dynapro 1050 and my blender jar broke. Since the new jar is $250 and I had an Amazon gift card I bought the new Dnyapro 2250 and I am blown away at the new one. It is so much more powerful I am delighted. I also figured out the voltage on the pump and got a ac adapter so no more batteries needed. Now I have the older Dynapro 1050 motor I want to sell but I can't find anyone to buy it. $100 if your interested.

Funny that they will sell the blade and lid separately but not the container. Perhaps call them and ask them to sell you the container without the lid and blade at a proportional price. I have found that when you call them they tend to be helpful. Sometimes these companies need things spelled out for them to understand.
@LarryRichelli
@LarryRichelli 2 жыл бұрын
@@GodDieux I tried calling them and all they would do is give me 15% off of the jar. Since I already have the new 2250, I did put in a warranty request to get the motor upgraded in my 1050, so it that goes through I will try again on the blender Jar....but doing all this just to try to sell it seems like an awful lot of work when they are so hard to sell because of the shipping cost.

Because there are many ways a blender can be used, and I Want to show more than just one test. if you dont want to watch it, the best is the Dynapro between the two. Ground up to a smaller particle size, and a better carafe design & sharper blade overall, with the longest warranty.
