A Biografia de Joaquim está na dissertação de Sérgio Peres (2009) - wp.ufpel.edu.br/ppgmp/files/2016/11/Sergio-Peres.pdf. O autor estuda a música e resgata a vida de "Joquim": "Joaquim da Costa Fonseca Filho foi mecânico, comerciante e construtor nascido em 04 de agosto de 1909 em Pelotas e falecido em 12 de julho de 1968, na mesma cidade. Filho do português Joaquim Fonseca, da região de Póvoa do Varzim, e de Norberta Fonseca, Joaquim era autodidata, tendo estudado até o então 5° ano primário. Dois casamentos, cinco filhos, e o trabalho de toda uma vida ameaçado pelo esquecimento: a alteração do chassi de um automóvel, a construção de uma lancha, diversas outras máquinas e aquilo que é mais significativo em sua produção: a construção de duas aeronaves cujos desempenhos levaram por um breve momento ser cogitada a instalação de uma fábrica de aviões em Pelotas. Um desses aviões chegou a receber a homologação e o respectivo registro pelo então Departamento de Aviação Civil (DAC), órgão do Ministério da Aeronáutica responsável pelo teste, avaliação e certificação dos protótipos construídos no país." Thus, as the wind bends the coconut tree; Thus, the wind of desolation bends the human being! The Foundation of reason is the heart founded and articulated by the Word! The motto and rudder of the materialistic couplet is the reason operating in the driving force of the machinery gears, of materialistic thoughts! The poet calls himself, the Poet of solitude, because he wanders peregrine in the desert of his heart, and feels the movement of the tides of sentimental mirages, holding his thoughts in the webs catenulas, in the hearts, leaving him weak and tired! The sentimental avalanches of the soul leave us buried in the cold bitterness of disappointments! The fugitive from himself lives segregated from his feelings! The dull boredom of the heart, and the bothersome monotony of the soul, causes the hecatomb of emotions and, establishes the sentimental ruptures!
