I upgraded to a 13 Mini in January this year, and I absolutely love it. It has the same footprint as my iPhone 7 which, at the time, wasn't considered "Mini". I was able to get a mint condition 13 Mini in Product Red, with 100% battery. At the time, the Amazon Apple Store still had new ones on sale, but pink was the only colour still in stock. I'm not a fan of full cases, and I don't want to hide the gorgeous red, so use a bumper and MagSafe grip. I've got a MagSafe battery bank that l also use as a stand to trigger Standby Mode. I use an iPad Mini too, and am impatiently waiting for its upgrade. I was hoping Apple might use the 13 Mini frame for the next SE. @locnes21337 ай бұрын
@@thinkingoutloud3358 pulst width modulation, typical OLED uses pwm for dimming the screen, what this means is that even at the lowest brightness, the screen still draws the same amount of power compared to lets say 'typical' day to day brightness levels just at a slower intervals (hz) and these intervals is kinda like when you tryna record a 30 fps video on an object that refreshes higher than 30fps, for example screen, you will see black lines flickering in the video constantly because the frame rate doesn't match, similar to pwm. an iphone display pwm refreshes at 240hz, a normal person wouldn't see the flickering but some people their eyes will still subconsciously pick up the flickering even if themselves dont see it causing the individual to feel nauseating , headaches etc. some phone manufacturers already tackled this problem like oneplus and such with higher level of hz's for the pwm dimming but playboy samsung and surprise surprise midget apple still haven't introduced it yet. lcds dont have this problem because it is a different tech altogether uses backlight rather than leds, so they could just control the backlight and it wouldn't affect anything since it passes through a layer of crystals to form an image, at a trade off of poor black levels

Same but you know I can’t complain, it does about as much as my mini and the home button is a lot more reliable.

I'm still on the old SE. I have tiny hands, need an earphone jack, don't care about any of the flash stuff. Is going to be murder when it needs replacing 😞

I'm still using the 12 Mini. With the new SE coming next year being the size of the iphone 14, the choice is to either get a 13 Mini while they are still available... get the current SE and sacrifice the little things I like about the mini... or bite the bullet and just upgrade to the new SE or 16, and deal with the larger phone. I'd prefer a 16 Mini... but Apple apparently hates small phones... so f small phones.

And do not forget that some people have eye fatigue with oled screens therefore SE lcd display is a bless. Unfortunatelly in the future only oled apple displays might be in new Iphones...

I used the 2020 iPhone SE for 5 months before I broke down and bought a used iPhone 11. I didn’t mind the actual body of the phone but I just couldn’t get used to that screen size.

I do not agree with you. I am still using my SE 2nd Gen. It’s doing what it should be doing. My wife uses the 3rd gen SE and she is very happy too. Sure, sometimes the screen is a bit small especially with bad eyes 😂 hey I bought it for really cheap and it is still supported. I guess if you are using a newer model and swap to the SE for testing you will notice differences but the buyer for this phone is not doing that and just wants a cheap iPhone.

I've just replaced my original SE with great regret - got a refurbed mini12. The old SE was perfect for my tiny hands, I only use it for brief calls/messaging, music and dumb photos. I wish they'd stop selling us these gigantic-arse heavy tellies - I can't even get my hand round them now.

The 3rd gen mini is really cheap compared to the iPhone 13 mini.its literally half the price I just got a 3rd gen se with full battery health and great overall condition for 150 quid, the 13 mini is 300 plus in similar condition.Plus the se has larger app icons as the screen is broader. Its a little bargain for 150.The Touch ID button is fantastic.
