After trying out various lights, I've gotta say, the Nanoleaf Essentials LED strip truly shines above the rest!

The comparison chart shows Philipa Hue having a color range of 2000-6500K, while Nanoleaf is only 2700-6500K (700K less). Shouldn't Hue have been the winner in the color range category? Am I missing something?

It said “correction, philips” in the bottom left corner on that slide while he said that nanoleaf was better

With the app there is a white slider where you can get warm and cool whites

Thanks for the comparison. Criticism here… hopefully constructive. That under cabinet install would look better if you hide the lights on the front lip of the cabinet, and/or install them in a diffuser channel.

Hello, thanks for the explanations ! I’m interested in the nanoleaf ones, and you say the 2 meters are enough for a 55 inch tv. How is it possible ? When I make the calculation it can’t go fully around my tv 😁 is it possible to know how you installed it ?

Nanoleaf has extension strips to add
@skapthhh Жыл бұрын
@@VittorTechyes but you say in the video (at 1:22) that the length by default is 80 inch (so around 2 meters) and that there is no need for an extension for a 55 inch tv, are you sure about that ?
@VittorTech Жыл бұрын
@skapthhh yes, just checked. For Nanoleaf I have an extension a little past the halfway point for my 65-inch TV

Great Video! Please make a comparison of all Matter compatible lightstrips. Nanoleaf Matter Essentials Smart Lightstrip (Matter over Thread) vs. Govee LED Strip Light M1 Matter (Matter over WiFi) would be the most interesting comparison at the moment. Please show the key differences between Matter over Thread and Matter over WiF when it comes to lightstrips.

Suggested video Review LED Strip channels / diffusers for each - especially HUE as they are wide thus a bit more difficult to find. Meanwhile this video is wonderful and very helpful!

do not buy the nanoleaf light strip. 1. They are incredibly dim. 2. the whites suck. 2100k looks like the 2700k at maybe 10% brightness. if you go from 2500k to 2499k they literally just get 50% dimmer. 3. The colors are mediocre. idk if they just were broken from the start but i contacted nanoleaf and they told me "Oh yeah that looks normal to us!!!"

The fact that philips hue is 3x as expensive as other light strips and the others are just as bright and app just as great proves philips hue is just a scam
@keithd.2722 Жыл бұрын
That really depends. I'd bet good money on Philips lasting longer than most of the competition here and being more robust. Philips' technology was developed for the X-Prize, which they won by a significant margin back when household LED lighting was a brand new technology and LED bulbs cost $120 and might not last 6 months. That's not to say nobody will be competitive (I've had good luck so far with Nanoleaf), but out of the box performance is only 40% of the ownership experience at best.

@Keith D. If a philips hue product breaks they'll say that's too bad. If a Govee product breaks, they send you out another one for free.
