When rihey said that turns did great since they expressed their dance with their body and not by using their face. I really totally agree on that they were able to make me think of the drama series, made me remember of those guards that looked like robots or look like being controlled. This group slayed in portraying their concept. Great job, Team YGX!

This is what I was saying. Turns lacked presence, YGX taught it to them so now they exude aura. Squid had all of this power and passion but didn't have enough control...YGX taught them how to control their output so they look clean. No wonder Lee Jung and YGX are beasts and known as the young aces.
@YoonJaze7232 жыл бұрын
Turns never lacked presence. What they lack is creativity and concept. The turns member said it themselves.

@@salfred8252 Concept and stage presence has never been the same lmao. Stage presence is how you impact and connect to the audience/viewers.
@salfred82522 жыл бұрын
@@YoonJaze723 Connecting is made through concept. Concept (and by extension, theme) isn't as detached as we think, especially when considering the emotional connection that we, as the audience, make to a performance. Take, for example, the famed French dramatist, Antonin Artaud. His concept in practicing his artform was cruel and grotesque (I studied the Theatre of Cruelty when I studied performance at uni, you should check it out, it's pretty cool) but that only was possible because his presence, the very essence of self that he wanted to show to his audience was naturally grotesque and pained. When I say that turns lacked presence, they, although being the definite aces of the competition, had to figure out how to present themselves in their performance. Look at their last, ultimately winning, performance, they knew what music and what motif they wanted to show. They knew what concept they wanted to leave the audience with. They exuded the essence of what Turns is, ergo, their presence was magnified. Also, in their choreo for the trade mission, Lee Jung essentially told them that they should create, not as little YGX or thinking from the perspective of Itzy, but as their own entity. Presence in performance transcends "swag" or "coolness". It is an understanding of self, as well as the character or concept that one, as performer inhabits and, in equal turn, is inhabited by. Hope I explained myself, don't take this as me being extra. I genuinely love having conversations like this so thanks 😊.
@YoonJaze7232 жыл бұрын
@@salfred8252 Bruh concept isn't the same as stage presence because stage presence is subject while concept is not. Simple as that.

Lee jung is SO Smart master. Seo-in from Squid has a lot of SNS followers. It means that they can easily get the public's attention. Turns are good dancers but lack of funky point compared with others, for example Missmolly. So I think Lee jung made a good choice for winning this stage.

the First ones in RED are flawless so in Sync with each other its very calculated while the contestants have much more freedom and personality. its great how in the beginning of their dance they show the hair pulling and the saving of another friend like in Squid game 1:34 but followed the music and lyrics more 2:58 showed their dynamics yet again between who were in charge and who were the players. whos 2:24 she looks pressed

In the audition, Turns lacked group presence, and only Nain and Heesoo stood out, YGX taught them the stage presence and made a solution on Nain and Heesoo's overshadowing. Squid lacked precision and details in the audition, YGX fixed it and taught them cleanliness.

Paris taught Lee Jung very well. Just want to share a thought though they have similar techniques with the Royal Family crew which Paris is from. That means she's continually in contact with Paris. Their choreography's a bit similar (other gestures) with Royal Family
@miyaka07282 жыл бұрын
Ohh. This is news to me. So Lee Jung is Paris’ student? Since when?
@Macasmaccas2 жыл бұрын
Don't spread the wrong facts. She first learned dance at a dance academy at the age of 15, and entered Just Jerk Crew at the age of 16 to learn dance. It has nothing to do with Paris Goble.
@Macasmaccas2 жыл бұрын
The choreography that Royal Family Crew showed in the performance also contains a lot of basic street dance genre movements, but people don't know and say things like this comment. For example, movements such as hair helicopters, which are misunderstood as the signature of the Royal Family, are actually common clichés in the street dance genre of voguing, and ygx has also been used. 2:41, 3:06 The movements are the same as those of the Royal Family, but they are actually the basic movements of hip-hop dance and Urban or krump.

Paris taught lee jung?? I don't think so....she was with Just Jerk crew since she's 17 and joined YGX last year.
