Is there something you have to do to determine initiative, like for the first battle? Maybe I missed that. Really enjoyed this BTW!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. Initiative always starts with the human player. It seems like the scenarios are designed so that the human player going first makes sense. In scenario two, you play as the government against the rebels, and it makes sense there for the government forces to go first.
