Abroad they portray us like a nation of lazy loud Mediterranean peasants and I get so mad because of it. We are certainly more than those stereotypes. This magnificent piece of music is just a tiny example of our millenarian culture. There’s so much Italian influence in western culture that you even can’t imagine. Grazie ragazzi, magnifica esecuzione, bellissimo video e mi piace molto il “ dietro le quinte “. Sono anni che ciclicamente vi riascolto. ❤

I can't imagine what kind of uncouth person would vote this down. This was one of my favorite pieces of music when I was a teenager, and I hadn't heard it in ages. Ms. Sara Mingardo has a voice that brought me to tears, she has the voice of an angel, the whole production, the voices, the orchestra, all of it was superb. You fed my soul, thank you.

A lot of strange and tasteless people hate anything historically authentic, they prefer their Vivaldi and Handel sung like it's Wagner. They especially hate 18th century vocal technique.

Can't agree. The performance by the University of North Texas College of Music is glorious perfection. I think the tempo here is too fast.

Très bel enregistrement (image, son). Je sais que je vais m'attirer bien des critiques, mais je trouve que le tempo choisi est trop rapide dans les parties allegro. Il est parfait dans le Domine Deus. L'excès de vitesse ne permet pas aux notes de vivre. L'Agnus Dei avec Mingardo est bouleversant ❤️

I remember how Baroque music had a revival in the early 1960s and now, with such directors and performers, it is having a splendid renaissance. This more complete version of the Gloria is very welcome. I greatly admire Alessandrini as an interpreter of the music and of course I worship Sara Mingardo.

Mai sentita una così strabiliante interpretazione del Gloria! Davvero il genio del Prete Rosso è qui espresso oltre l'oltre! L'intensità in alcuni momenti (negli andanti) è pazzesca, cosa dire? Anche i due movimenti del 588 sono due perle straordinarie! Ammetto: mi sono commosso profondamente. Le soluzioni del regista hanno aiutato ad entrare nel Capolavoro. Grandi tutti!
