Wow you learn something every day! I was watching the movie Shine and this piece is heard twice . I had to find out what was so thankfully the music is listed at the end while the Aria movement is being played! I searched on KZbin and up came this performance. The soprano’s voice is outstanding and I prefer hers to that from the movie’s musical score . While I love baroque and other classical music, there are many, many gaps in my knowledge. But I know beauty when I hear it. And this piece is one of them. I thought Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus was his best but RV630 equals it in my humble opinion.
