bull - metal is noise, this is music
@rustyboi54022 жыл бұрын
@@Hithere-ek4qt Well technically music is defined as vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Whilst metal might not seem like so it does in fact cross at least two of these marks, henceforth it can be considered music and not noise. If you wish to say that metal is noise then anything could be considered noise, even the most melodic and ear-catching pieces could be considered noise.

I come back and watch this again & again, “Summer” too. Never was the phrase “a work of art” more appropriately used, in my opinion, than with Mari’s playing. I have played for 30+ yrs and listened to many of the great violinists. She’s in the league with Pearlman, Stern, & Menuhin as the excellence of her playing is beyond many if not most of her contemporaries I feel. Sheer power & beauty that I am fortunate to hear & watch in my lifetime.

But over the 20 years of listening to the four seasons - I realised that all four of them have their own charm. But as a tempo and rythm - Winter is a clear winner for me (as preference, that is).

I have to say that mari somehow makes this piece become 3 dimensional, it's not because she plays the piece slowly. she is faster than others but she still has room for detail. I have compared Mari's playing with 33 other violinists playing the same piece. It is a relief to hear Mari's interpretation. free, interesting and relevant. perhaps this is the first time the four seasons have been interpreted correctly! What to do with 33 CDs that are now unbearable to listen to? Best Thomas

There are many great performances of this piece but to me this is the best one of them all.

I just love this. She has a Stradivarius, and the sound of it is above all the others. Mari - Fire and Beauty.

its amazing .

I like that its faster than usual. This is my talent, hear it roar. Its so aggressive and visceral, all while telling us how hard she worked for this. This is only done by someone with a seriously strong intellect and connection with their inner self forming to a sharp point of willpower and talent. She knows the usual speed, and says no... I am going to shred harder and you will love it.

A truly inspiring performance, the warp speed solos is only half of it -the dynamics,phrasing and feel is really special; that magic that separates the human from the MIDI sequencer. The 'tempo map' is really severe!

it is faster as it is an scandinavian cold winter as opposed to an italian winter, probably.
@yvanazastrasz90134 жыл бұрын
Well, I don't. I'm not going to favor speed to the detriment of what I love in the music. There are a lot of notes that can't be heard because she would either miss them entirely if trying to give them proper power and expression, or butcher the whole line by making it sound like a glissando. Listen from 1:35 to 1:45. The "up-scale" is literally non-existant. (though I do prefer it a million times made nearly mute than butchered entirely by sounding like a glissando). Listen to how Perlman plays that part. Every single note is full and alive. Every single one of them, downscale AND upscale. All this said, in the end it's just a matter of taste.
