I can still remember na 2019, sikat na sikat 'tong song na 'to. It was played nang paulit-ulit tuwing may events sa school and students would sing along, kabisadong-kabisado ng lahat ang lyrics ng kanta. 4th year college kami non and nagpra-practice teaching sa isang school. My boyfriend that time was 4th year din pero sa kabilang school sya nag p PT dahil elem sya and secondary naman ang tinuturuan ko. Every afternoon pag-uwian na, susunduin nya 'ko from school and kakain kami sa labas then ihahatid nya 'ko sa sakayan. He would even go sa school na pinagtuturuan ko and watch school events with me. Favorite namin 'tong song na 'to non dahil masayang malungkot yung mood and very catchy sya. We would even sing along with my students, isinisigaw pa yung chorus. 'Pag pinapakinggan ko 'to noon, I never cared about the lyrics and kung gaano sya kasakit dahil okay naman kami. We just love the mood of the song. Fast forward, pareho kaming grumaduate and we both aimed na makapasa ng LET para makapasok sa public and makapag-ipon para sa future namin. Pareho kami ng pinasukan na review center and we would often go on a date para 'di kami ma-stress sa review and to give time sa relationship namin. August 2019 non and one month before the exam nalang, nagbago ang lahat. Biglang may pinag-awayan kami na hindi ko na maalala kung ano dahil sa sobrang babaw. Nakipag-break ako dahil I was stressed na nag-aaway pa kami eh malapit na ang board exam. After 3 days, I accidentally opened his fb account dahil naka save yun sa browser ng isa kong phone. I remembered how it felt na nanginginig habang binabasa yung convo nila nung 1st year college na schoolmate namin. Clearly, may something na sa kanila habang kami pa. I confronted him and asked him kung ano na ang mangyayari sa'min. He would answer na "never magiging kami". Ayaw nya rin akong bigyan ng closure. Ang labo nya. Palagi na rin syang galit kapag nagtatanong ako. Nagbago na sya pero 'di ko sya sinukuan. I tried everyday na maayos kami. Pero lagi nyang sinasabi na "Ayaw ko na". Dumating nalang siguro yung araw na I had to choose between him and me passing the board exam dahil hindi na ako maka focus kakaiyak. Nagka anxiety rin ako and naging acidic. The last words I heard from him was, "Wala ka na sa mga plano ko" and the last time I saw him ay nung oath taking namin ng December 2019 dahil pareho kaming nakapasa ng board exam. Hinayaan ko nalang talaga syang lumayo and maging masaya. January 2020 when they confirmed their relationship. Ang dami kong tanong sa sarili ko non kung ano'ng nangyari and bakit kailangan pa nyang umalis. Tuwing naririnig ko 'tong kanta na 'to, it hits differently from how I first heard it nung 2019. Ngayon, ramdam ko na yung lyrics. But I'm okay naman na and moving forward matagal na. One of my fav songs pa rin❤️
