In my opinion this movie is partially about societal standards in The human condition. It showcases a lot of the feelings new parents have. It also represents the concept of creating a brand new workforce. How we are all born, raised, and passed away, and someone else will take our place. The expectation of women to raise children, and the expectation of men to work themselves to death.

Hello, thank you for reacting to this film. In the beginning there is a scene with a bay chick pushed out of it's nest by a cowbird. They lay eggs in another soeciies nest, the baby cowbird kills the other chicks, and is raised by the adoptive parents. Sometimes the cowbird also kills the adoptive parent. To me its a movie where thats how this alien species chose to learn about humans.
