What Vivek is saying is all good and true, but I have yet to hear him articulate how broken the US truly is. The nepotism, cronyism and hidden agendas, insider trading, special interests and the sheer immorality of the system is staggering and above all, so ingrained that it can never be uprooted. All a new president can really attempt to do (if he isn't captured by those special interests already) during his term or two is to try and make a tiny difference in a system that is hardwired to promote its own interests, only to see his contribution be made null and void by the person who comes after.
