The Kalyan and Bilawal ragangas are natural allies, and supply genetic material to both Devgiri and Yamani Bilawal...In the eponymous Devgiri elements of Kalyan...Shuddha Kalyan in particular...are grafted on the Bilawal chassis...The raga’s active span ranges from mandra pancham to madhya saptak pancham where most of the melodic activity is undertaken...Outstanding Tejenda...🙏

সত্যিই চোখে জল এনে দেবার মতন পরিবেশনা। বিশেষ করে স্বামীজির পায়ের কাছে বসে গাইবার বা বাজানোর মাহাত্মই আলাদা। সুর আর লয় এখানে যেন এক স্বর্গীয় মহিমায় বিরাজ করে। অন্তত আমার তো সেরকমই অভিজ্ঞতা।শিল্পীদের অজস্র সাধুবাদ।

Very good. It is Lonkadahan Sarong - how sweet, melancholic and fine. First time listening this raga. Based on Ramprasadi Vaktigiti the Dhun is also very fine.

There is a devotional song in Bengali -- "Aamar Maa tvang hi Taaraa...". This song is intimately associated with the lives of Naren(purvashram name of Swamiji) and Sri Ramakrishna. The song is based on Raga Bhairavi. Panditji has taken this line of the song and is improvising on that. @@swamimananananda thank you! i'm not a musician, only a listener, but somehow it doesn't sound like bhairavi, perhaps it is based on shuddh bhairavi. but i''m not sure.

@@3rd_ear The bhairavi is played by taking madhyam as the shadja, i.e, shudhha re is pa, komal re is teevra ma. This may be called madhyam se bhairavi :)

Probably raag Sindhu Bhairabi. Sounds like the famous Sindhu Bhairabi bandish....Dil le Liya hai Mero. Also very much similar to the chalan of the devotional song.....Amar Maa tang hi Tara.
