Dopo aver ascoltato la Vivica recentemente su RAI5 nel trionfo del tempo e del disinganno ero sicuro che anche in questo recital non mi avrebbe deluso. Ma c’e di più: oltre ad essere meravigliosa è anche molto simpatica! Non vedo l’ora di sentirla dal vivo il prossimo 23 Maggio a Genova.

Она получила прекрасную школу у мастеров бельканто и пела первое время, довольно долго и успешно, Беллини, Доницетти, Россини. Потом ушла в барокко, откуда, к сожалению, в романтизм не возвращаются. Согласен, что в некоторых записях ее голос звучит резко и неровно. Но это такие уж партии. Они ей нравятся, как видно. При этом она, безусловно, великий мастер, очень музыкальный и темпераментный. При этом симпатичнейшая красавица!

She created her entire career off of vocal tension. Instead of voice doctors and therapists/pathologists helping her, the managers and impresarios continued to bring in the cash off her neck/jaw/lip tension-based technique, and I do know one of her colleagues, and it IS tension and she's tried to fix it, but it's too far gone now, she's nearly 50. She'd have to stop singing at least a few years and completely rebuild her voice from ground zero, but that would mean NOT singing from that jaw/neck/mouth/lip tension and that would mean the coloratura fast stuff would be lost and may not be able to sing that fast anymore, and there goes the career.
