It was really difficult beat it on day 4 because not only did granny keep randomly spotting me even though I'm hiding. The spider is ridiculously fast and it's AI is almost unpredictable

This is frickin' crazy! I play this game on normal mode, and my main strategy is to be hiding 70 percent of the time and moving around the other 30. You didn't hide a single time; you even looked into the well while you used the winch handle instead if crouching behind it and watching the door Granny uses with all-consuming terror. Meanwhile, I won't even search the main floor or that room with the crow unless Granny is tranquilized or gunned down. I'm serious. Impressive stuff.

I just figured out that you can crouch under the bed and come back out very quickly and keep doing it over and over again and you can glitch her and that’s how I’ve been playing.
