Those are some great numbers. Y’all did a wonderful job tuning my TR Panamera.

So based on the video the first dyno runs after the tune had more horsepower and torque than after you installed the exhaust I assume this was some sort of error in the video?

that exhaust sounds amazing!!! it kills all that popping.. (I'm not a fan of all that popping)

Great video 👍 is that a custom tune or canned tune? Looks like the exhaust didn't add much power over the curve. Tune was impressive though 👌
@vivid_racing5 жыл бұрын
We do a specific tune for each car as softwares are different. The term canned tune or stage tune is used so losely with different meanings. I can say that we have done SOOOO Many Porsche's over the years that we have a good receipe. The older 996, 997 Turbos really benefitted from the exhaust. The new exhausts are a bit better but have no sound. So most usually do it to hear it sound like an actual sports car.

Hey brother. Not sure if you've seen my result recently on RL with my tune upgrades, but my car with the new Stage. 2 high output GIAC tune and their race gas tune is pushing 650 whp. My 60-130 at full weight with my 270 lbs. in it is around 6.30 sec. on the Stg. 2 and 6.07 secs. best with 50 / 50 mix of race gas on race tune. Very impressive for only a tune / exhaust and NO other mods.

is it really necessary to change the intercoolers for this kind of power?

Couldn't you Street tune the car
@davidciardullo68378 күн бұрын
Now that the exhaust is put on
@vivid_racingКүн бұрын
You dont need to street tune these... The files are proven files. You just read it out, match the software, flash the good working file. Custom tuning would only be needed if you changed turbos and injectors.

Will this tune void your warranty?
@vivid_racing4 жыл бұрын
Depends on the dealer. However this could not void a FULL warranty. If the dealer had a issue, might only be your powertrain.

What typically has been your customer experience with this? Just curious the feedback you've gotten. Thanks for the previous reply

@@Kaeineir I have owned MANY Porsche. Currently a 2016 GT3RS. Had a 2014 991 Turbo. The dealers are usually straight up if you are straight up. I have never seen a major failure from a basic Turbo tune on any 911, Panamera, Cayenne, Macan.

I don’t understand the question but this is how pretty much all Porsche Turbo dyno graphs look on a Mustang dyno

It's hard to hear the true exhaust improvement until it's run under load on the street.
@toneyclayton4854 жыл бұрын
I am not sure but... it seems to me that it lost power with the exhaust. First numbers (after tune) were around 541awhp/667awtq on the mustang dyno and then with the exhaust, torque went to under 600 and hp remained. Correct me if i am wrong because i hope like hell that i am...
@vivid_racing4 жыл бұрын

@@vivid_racing You are showing final results with may be stock car with only the ECU remap.Toney says that at the youtube video the results shows differents values from the link you show.May be the map you use first is intend it to use with stock exhaust.Thats why when you put the Akrapovic the power goes down.

$6k+ for nothing more than a little bit of noise. At least they could have chromed the muffler bearings for that money.

Yep...the Porsche exhaust is pretty hard to beat as for H.P./TQ...but I would expect the Ti exhaust would save you 35 lbs which on the ass end is nice. but not for $8K

Cost of getting the tune done? In the process of getting a 991.2 turbo s and was thinking of Akrapovic exhaust but didn’t think if doing a tube as well to make the package complete....

4 hp w the Akra, ughhh.. save my dough.
@vivid_racing3 жыл бұрын
While we experienced a smaller increase from the exhaust only, this was due to the substantial Arizona heat and crummy fuel quality. Cooler temperatures will result in even more power increase and really lets the exhaust shine. It's also about freeing up restriction. The factory exhaust is quite restrictive compared to the Akrapovic

@fzr10009814 жыл бұрын
I realize it's a Mustang dyno with high ambient temps, but heat soak is another liability for these high boost smaller displacement engines. They also lose compression faster
@ninous263 жыл бұрын
3.8 liter 6 cylinder vs 6.2 8 cylinder... I wonder why the engine with 2 more cylinders and more than 150% the displacement puts down more HP on less boost. What a genius you are!
@fzr10009813 жыл бұрын
That's not the point idiot - the point is a lower stress engine will hold compression longer and generally be more reliable
@harrybowman11863 жыл бұрын
#1 That really is a dumb comment 🤦🏻♂️ #2 You own an LT4 and you think the 991 needs to worry about heat soak?? And then I think you sort of said your camaro is more reliable than a 911 turbo 🤡🤣
