Waterloo Bridge has been my favorite movie for over 60 years now. The first time I saw it I thought I'd never seen anyone as beautiful as Vivien Leigh. Sixty years later that hasn't changed.

I agree. I have never seen her equal. That’s why this is the only “chick flick” I can watch :)

Vivien Leigh was at her most beautiful in this movie. That is why it is so heartbreaking.

It’s also the most neutral and normal role for Vivien too which makes her role as myra is her career favourite

She is beautiful in this scene but there is a scene in GWTW that tops this. Scarlett goes to Ashley's birthday party after the two of them were caught in an embrace earlier in the day. She has a close up when she enters in that red dress that is the champion close up of anybody ever filmed. I'm sure everyone remembers it.

I love her so much, my favorite. But, I've only seen "Gone With the Wind" and "Streetcar Named Desire" ~ this winter I plan to watch more of her movies. What do you recommend as the first 5 best to start with?
@mariobarbu73694 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, she didn't make a lot of movies. But even in these few pictures, she played in, she did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend you to watch ''Waterloo Bridge'', this movie is such a treasure and Vivien did a fantastic role. ''That Hamilton Woman'' in which she starring with Laurence Olivier. ''Anna Karenina'' based on Tolstoy's book and in my opinion one of the best adaptions. ''The Ship of Fools'' and ''Sidewalks of London''. If you ask me, these are some movies in the ''must-watch'' category. I would also add ''The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone'' and ''Caesar and Cleopatra''.

Watch 'Ship of Fools' - one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen is when she beats up the Lee Marvin character with her shoe. Lee kept that shoe on his mantle in his house because he liked that scene so much. It was Vivien's last movie.
