Vivien: Worth The Wait - China Adoption Story

Our story of bringing home our amazing daughter from China in April of 2017. The road to and through adoption is a difficult one paved with loss. This video depicts the joy of bringing our daughter into our family without really sharing the hard stuff. However, make no mistake about it, the hard stuff was worth it.

We used the HOLT adoption agency and adopted a baby from China back in 1990. She was incredibly gifted and excelled at everything she was interested in. She mastered The violin the oboe the bassoon and a special Chinese stringed instrument. she is in her third year residency for pediatric neurosurgery . this has an eight year to nine year residency program . I wish we were young enough to do this again because the years have absolutely flown past on a rocket!

@@megandanielle7862 Asia is not just China, .There are also India phillipine , sri lanks , Cambodia ,etc . . What about S America continent Do all these other places have lesser need ? No they too desperately wish more would come to adopt their unwanted babies n children. So many choices really for those who want to adopt and it is always a carefully considered choice made after doing their homework . To be honest about it , that China is the no 1 choice for most says alot about the outcome of their homework ie it is also about they like everything they see and want about adopting from this country

No thank you for the upload and sharing your experience! Have watched it many times as it makes me feel happy. Watching it, i couldn't help but think what was going through your wifes mind when visiting the orphanage, refering to the black and white still picture, looking on when Vivien is held by her nanny. Paved with loss and hard times, i think this picture encapsulates these thoughts, and yes it is explained how michelle felt. Fully understandable, and brave , but natural, never to be forgot. Sadly i am neither religious or spiritual, but i am an emotional person and this video certainly arouses emotions. Once again thank you and take care.
