After seeing this review, I now own the vintage and current versions. Just rewatched this and I have to say that your description NAILS IT so hard! This is amongst my top 5 fragrances, along with Shalimar and Samsara and a couple by En Voyage. The first three on the list are entirely your fault!

Oops. I forgot that this has been discontinued. The version you reviewed, as you know, was a reformulation of the original. The original has a gold colored cap as opposed to the clear and gold one on the reformulation. It was made by a different company. And it is gorgeous! BTW, I'm Debbie Ernst in your FB group. ouch110 Fragrance Reviews Before reformulation it was produced by the Lancaster Group. 2010 Lancaster was bought by Coty. At the latest from middle of 2010, Boudoir unfortunately was reformulated by Coty then. The original had a metal cap and the fragrance was amber, the new one is pink...

I just got this today, and I'm loving it. I was telling a friend that it reminds me of face powder. I think it's the combination of rose and orris root that's giving me the classic makeup vibe. But then it does have that "sticky" element, as you identified. To me, it is very reminiscent of cigars. I love how that tobacco flower note keeps the whole thing from going either too sweet or safe. It pulls just weird enough to keep things interesting. Great review.

Thank you for the review! I love this perfume and it has been my signature scent for years. I always describe it as a powdery, Victorian pearls and lace kind of fragrance, but yours is so much more accurate!

Al rehab Nebras smells 100% similar to this perfume and it lasts far better oh well, another Beautiful piece of work, thanks a lot & cheers for the uploads keep rocking.

Thanks!! Ya know, I agree a bit. They do smell similar for a while but this has a much better dry down. The dry down of Nebras is much more rosey and smells a bit dated. This one holds on to it's modern feel longer. :)

Well I bought this after watching the review (bought samsara after watching another one of your). I was so intrigued and I absolutely love it! It's definitely a head turning fragrance and it smells divine. I've been wearing it a lot more than samsara and Shalimar as I feel it has a bit more modern of a feel while still staying vintage smelling. Definitely unique!

Unique is best!! Ah cool yes Elephant is cool too. Really nice for winter because it's cozy and warmly spicy (if you live in a place that is cold in winter of course haha). :)

I did, I blind bought this one , because no one ever sent me a sample. I couldn't resist :). Boudoir is beautiful. It's a bit sweet from the flowers I think, it's incredibly potent and lasting, I am VERY aware of it all day if I wear it, even with one or two sprays. I think the tobacco flower and one of the spices stands out of the vanillary rosey cloud.I think it's very evocative of someone extremely sexy out on the prowl in an old-time night club, mayhaps a wilted starlet, lol, I don't know, she's a weird and wonderful, this one. My kids like it. Sorry for being rubbish at describing !

That is a great description hehe. Wilted Starlet ay? I LOVE IT! hehe. Yes it has a very old time feel to it but also a bit modern too. I have the body lotion of it also and that is powerful enough itself. Great addition to any perfume collection I reckon! :)

Just got it, it's truly unique! It's hard to decribe the scent but it's unusual and very different from any other fragrance i own!

Yes, it has this vintage scent but it's also modern, not too powdery or too flowery. It's a head turner for sure. I really really want to try Midnight Poison and Coco Mademoiselle after this, i've seen your reviews!

So nice. Ive watched this rewiev a couple of times. Im a Westwood fan and ive often thought about getting this perfume. Sadly it is out of production. But ive managed to buy it private. I did try it out just a couple of years after its release, and, yes, i do remember it to be kind of sexual. I remember a girlfriend of mine was pretty shocked by it. I have recently startet pairing women and men fragrances so thats my intention with it. Exited.

Hi, it is marketed towards women but..anyone can pull it off if you have the confidence to wear it. :) Give it a try.

This is on my list. My lengthy, ever growing list. . . of samples, because that is the only way I will ever be able to smell all the ones I want to smell. I will then choose from there. I have a feeling I will like this but that the musk feel will make it feel like 'not me'. I have a feeling I will interpret this as some other good smelling woman, if that makes sense.

hi there, ive just looked at your review and think your description of this perfume is perfect! it is my favourite and i wear it all the time. It has unfortunately been discontinued and while i have just managed to find one more bottle, im not sure if i will be so lucky again. I am not sure i will be able to find something i like as much and have been googleing Chypre perfumes after your explanation of them and have come across one called, "not a perfume" by Juliette has a gun. Would you be able to do a review of this one please? thank you!

Idk where you live, but I found it on the website of a German retailer here called Mueller for 40eur, if that means anything to you. I'm thinking about getting it because I love the bottle lol, but so many people are saying it smells like crotch, so idk.

Thanks! Not a perfume by JHAG is exactly that...not a perfume, it is a single molecule and smells transparent and woody. If you like Chypres I wouldn't go for it as it's so far from a chypre. :)

I am very curious about this perfume, since I saw another video in which you mention it. I love the bottle and I guess the cap which is a "globus cruciger" could be related to religious iconography or royalty, but it is more likely to be a reference to the Harris Tweed company logo of Scotland. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globus_cruciger

Hi, Can you do a review of Vivienne Westwood Let It Rock or Naughty Alice? I saw a few reviews for these fragrances but is still undecided on whether or not I should buy them because the descriptions and reviews vary a lot and I don't want to waste money on a perfume that I would never wear. :)

tonixx20 Hi Toni! I'm actually wearing Sin Garden today. I had planned to review it tonight but unfortunately...there isn't really much I'd like to say about it. I did write a written review though so...here it is. Hmm I'm not very impressed with this one unfortunately. While the opening had potential, the dry down is meh. It opens with a soapy pink pepper smell, very pleasant...very soft..very feminine but also very familiar..I'm reminded of Lacoste Pour Femme (the yellow one). Once it dries though, the abundance of soft powdery notes in this take over...iris..heliotrope, violet, musk. They all come together to form a slightly characterless perfume. :( It just smells "pretty" but nothing special. Lots of soft powdery sweetness...and that's it. While the original boudoir was full of character and was much more daring, this one falls by the wayside. There is nothing "Sin" in here at all. It should be called "Fairy Garden" Lastly..the lasting power and sillage of this leaves a lot to be desired. I can barely smell it after half an hour.

The UK shipping laws are ok with perfumes coming in, it's sending them out that's the issue. Every country has some silly rule or another haha!!! :)

I am still waiting for my Boudoir to arrive, I am SO curious about it (sadly I could only find the 30ml bottle). I ordered it along with Al-Rehab's Nebras (Oil and Eau de Parfum) after reading so many Fragranticans comparing it to Boudoir. I think you actually have that one as well, and I will trust your word above anyone else's. Are they actually alike?

Kenny Cisneros Oh yay that's soooo very kind of you. Ahhh ok with the Boudoir/Nebras comparisons. I can see why people compare them HOWEVER...Boudoir is miles better. There is a slight similarity in the way they are both rosy but the dry downs and development are completely different. Boudoir is more modern, smoother and has a certain je ne sais quoi! It's got something more special than Nebras. I would choose boudoir over it in a heartbeat. :) I hope you enjoy it!!!

Giorgos Maras This one is quite a unique one. The only thing that I hear people say is similar is "Nebras" by Al Rehab. An Arabian perfume house who's perfumes are reallllly cheap. I have both but..it my opinion they are only slightly similar. Boudoir is a cut above the rest. :) If you like sexy honeyed rich florals you'll like it. We have a very similar taste..so..I'm gonna take a guess and say you'll LOVE it!

This was my first ‘scrubber’! The description, oh I wanted with all my heart to love it but sweet lord I was ready to cut my arm off at the shoulder to get that smell off me! Smelled like manky pants, out of date lipstick and that non clear honey with a ciggy butt in it... I will never forget it... it honestly still traumatises me! I’m not even joking 😂😂😂 and I’m not the best behaves in life but of my days it was brutal... I was craving the smell of bleach and hand sanitiser afterwards
