You can find plutonium in the meteors with the shrooms ontop but the nuke doesnt kill the angels, but as you once said, they are like mols and will make a underground tunnel system under ur base

There's this mod for 1.21.1 called Gigeresque which adds stuff from the alien franchise. To activate everything you have to find these alien hives which are usually in deepslate tunnels and find one of the eggs. You could bring a few cows to use as bait, punch some of the eggs, and run away while dropping a bunch of food around so everything can start. Don't wanna spoil too much so that's all

I think you should still build underground, but encase your base in water to like, deafen any sound you might make. So like stone > glass > couple blocks of water > glass/trap doors maybe > the base itself

Add Healing bed and campfire mod so that you'll be safe in your base if more death angel spawn and dweller decided to chase you, it's not overpowered so you'll still have to find a way to escape but having a healing campfire would allow you to be more free around your island
