No not unless you take out the batteries from one or both (Drone & Remote) .... If you would have a flying issue then re calibrating can sometimes solve the issue.

Thank You, No the only time you should have to recalibrate it is if you switch out batteries on the remote. The calibrations are stored there. The only other times you may want to do it is if the drone does not follow commands then that could help straighten out issues by re-calibrating.

This was helpful as i wasnt certain if i had problems or was doing something wrong. After doing the last calibration step the lights go solid but i dont get green lights. And the motors will not arm. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as there support is horrible.

More than likely you will need to unlock it ... If the lights are solid, then take the LEFT arm on the controller and push all the way UP and then pull in all the way DOWN in ONE motion UP THEN DOWN which should unlock the drone

Make sure your gyroscope is calibrated properly .... That's the only thing I can think of ... It's been my experience that it will only go about 200 feet away from the the controller before the WiFi to your phones app will brake down ... I am still learning the limits of mine. Keep a check on my channel as I keep uploading flight videos and explaining the experience of each. Sorry if I wasn't much help ...

Depends, If you start the flight with GPS on then it after 6 seconds of no signal from the transmitter or gps it will return back to point where it began flight. Otherwise it may just do what I call a controlled crash. IE: It will just slowly descend till landing. Naturally if it meets a tree or some other obstruction at which point it will be just crashing.

I have to re-calibrate every single time I turn drone off. I have three extra batteries, changing them isn't much of a problem, except I HAVE to change them every 4 to 5 minutes flight time! These are exactly the same batteries used by the Promark drone... (Why I have three extras, bought for my last drone, never got to use them) With THAT drone I got about 10 to 12 minutes flight time. As has been noted, this is basiclly a clone of the Promark, but with GPS. Today I had some real troubles with it. It kept saying it was not connected in the App, but the wifi WAS connected. I had a very hard time getting a good GPS lock. Once I finally did, and could see in the app what the camera saw, I went up, and promptly lost control. It flew itself into a tree, fell hard and the camera popped off... leaving the wires on drone. I soldered them back, and it powers up, but it looks like infrared or something. Horrible! Up until today, it has worked well enough, I have never had GPS issues. Wifi always locked on good. My main issue up until today is, it will NOT go higher than 165 FEET. If it were 165 meters, I could understand, as that's pretty close to the 400 feet limit. But 165 FEET isn't even close! Any ideas what to do? And can I find a better camera for cheap?

I honestly have no clue ... Mine in the last flights I did MAXED at 165 feet also .... In my case I've flown it 3 times, so I'd consider myself a learner. If I do find any tricks I'll let ya know ... Keep an eye out for more videos ...

Check to make sure you plugged the battery in CORRECTLY ... The other is an uncharged battery ... I know you said you charged it, BUT if you don't use the CORRECT amp/watt charging PLUG where the red light on the charger comes on for approx 5 hours then goes off the battery may not be charged enough to turn on the drone ...

My advise is to take out ALL batteries, and start over from scratch. This will usually allow the unit to reset. Try that!

I have seen them be different colors ... My advice is to remove ALL batteries from the remote AND the drone. Wait a minute or two and put them back in and start over following the video instructions. @@FDNY8231 i fixed it. I took the camera off unscrewed the screws pooped it open and on the thens there is a notch that the lens must sit in I put it in the groove reassembled it. Plugged it back in powered I up and now it's level no tilt. So if you hear if anyone else who has a off level camera picture problem advise them of my rectified situation. Thanks for your reply.

Hello sir. I have 1 more question plz. Everything works fine. I do the left stick deal then both to bottom left and release. I then start the app and it loads and says is this Geo calibration. I click yes and then turn it 3 times flat then 3 times verticle. Once that is done the app says test gps accuracy? I click yes it then says place phone less than 0.5 from drone. I place my phone on top of drone but it never finishes with a gps test passed. Location is on on my phone. I am at a loss. Would you know why? I hate bugging you sir but there is little info in the manual. Thank you sir in advance. PS on the low voltage cutoff to prevent over drain of the lipo battery when the app says low battery and lights blink and batt indicator reads 2 percent and the drone lands itself the app is set up to read zero percent but you actually have around 10 percent batt left. It works with or without app. PSS I saw NYFD as your user name. Thank you man for your service as a fire fighter.

Is your phone iOS or Android ... On my iPhone it doesn't tell me it passed but I can see the GPS on my screen when I try to fly it with GPS. I wouldn't have a clue on the Android, however I would say try after you've done the test. Sorry I couldn't be more help ...

Anyone experienced a "I am a crazy drone" moment with the vivitar? Mine was flying low altitude, 30% bat, calibrated, and decided to fly backwards full speed and slam into a car. Never happened before. Would appreciate any sharing.

I have not had that happen to me ... Vivitar is not really the best drone on the market so I'd expect anything from them operationally

Not sure what advice to give you then. I assumed that all these like mine had one. Check what manual they gave with your purchase and see if they have a solution. Otherwise I would say check online ... Sorry if my video was of no help for you ...

No ... Videos are stored on you smartphone if you use the app, so be aware of how much storage space you have on your phone. If you don't use a smartphone with the app then you will only be able to FLY it not record video ....

I don't think so ... The remote has to be calibrated to the drone in order for you to connect with your phone. You could try but I don't think so.

Do you mean viewing the video from your phone? If so try a web browser on a PC ... I find that best for watching KZbin videos.

The advice I always give that seems to work is to REMOVE ALL batteries from drone AND remote ... Wait a few seconds and replace them. Then re-calibrate by following the video and try again ... Good luck!

Yes .. I can't help with Android, but with iPhone the videos shot are saved to the camera roll, and you can move it and work with it with editing software. That's how I did my flight videos on here .... Good Luck!
