Vivo X70 Pro Plus vs X70 Pro | Unboxing & Full Comparison

Unboxing the Vivo X70 Pro Plus and standard Pro, with a hands-on review and comparison of the camera tech, gaming performance, software, specs and beyond. The more premium X70 Pro Plus offers a lot of upgrades vs the standard Vivo flagship, including improved speed, more capable cameras and faster battery charging. As usual, the big feature here is that Zeiss-branded camera tech with 5-axis gimbal stabilisation and 3x zoom lens. You get a different sensor setup on the most premium smartphone, with improved low light and bright light performance. Plus you can shoot 8K video, if that's your bag.
Performance is strong on both, with the Vivo X70 Pro Plus boasting a Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset (vs the Dimensity 1200 of its sibling). Gaming is a breeze on either, with no troublesome heat build-up.
Battery life is also great on both of these phones; you'll happily get a full day of use from either, while the X70 Pro Plus sports 50W wireless charging.

I think the one that turns out better at the cost is X70 Pro with the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 chipset. It also has really good cameras.

The X70 Pro Plus is the one that tempts me more than anything currently out there, the dedicated noise reduction chip would be ideal for taking astro-photography would mean a hell of a lot less editing in LR to remove that pesky noise.

@@TechSpurt I just bought a Vivo X70 Pro Plus, I have not had it outside yet, I just use it in the house but when I try the 4 Zeiss effects, it does not have the background bokeh swirl effect which I see on some videos and can you change the app icons from round circles to square style app icons.

The two phones both appear to offer excellent specs and promise a great user experience. Whatever the price difference is between the two it's probably justified, the improvements offered by the pro plus make for a genuine flagship phone. I expect they're both out of my price range so just watching to enjoy your presentation as always and to keep my finger on the pulse as it were. The one thing that I'm not sure about with these phones is the ongoing support that they will get. The Chinese companies are improving on the support front but it can be a bit hit & miss still. Im kind of confused. Will vivo launch this phone in europe? I searched online and only found a quote from a spokesperson that vivo had no plans of launching the x70 series in europe. But why would they then send the model to UK reviewers if they're not planing on launching it in europe? :( Also, while it would be possible to buy it from China, that would be shipped with origin os. Any way to get your version with funtouch os somewhere? Thanks for any help you can give, really want this phone but vivo isn't making it easy for me to buy which is such a backward situation haha

I believe just make sure you get the "international version" to get fun touch os. I also believe there is a switch in the settings of the China version with origin os to switch to fun touch and vice versa. (I saw it mentioned somewhere in a review)
