If only we could edit materials and lights (add them and control them) in vantage it would become a proper standalone software and would beat d5, lumion or twinmotion easily. But even now it's quite good specially for vray users. The quality is absolutely outstanding (very very close to vray). Most would not need vray if vantage gives them full control. Vray would then be left for extremely professional selective tasks. Most would work on vantage alone. I hope that's the future plan of developers.

I did many, many tests. Our CPUs are 7950x and our GPUs are 3090. Vantage is NOT faster than Corona with such hardware, if we want to obtain the same quality (same noise and same flickering). To have good quality in Vantage, you have to set NL at 0.025 and +1000 sample. In this way, at 1080p, you get 4 minutes per frame in Vantage. The VERY good part of Vantage in the denoiser. It's temporary, so, it takes into account of the previous frames. Something that Corona doesn't have. In conclusion, with our hardware, in 4 minutes we obtain almost the same noise in Corona and Vantage. But the great Vantage denoise implementation is the real king of this software. Thank to this tool, you can make a 1 minute per frame render and it will be "ok". Corona must have the same denoising! Obviously, with the new 5090, Vantage will be x3/4 time faster compared to our 7950x. And, in the prosumer world, you cannot have a 32/64 CPU without spend +4000 euro. So, Vantage + 5090 will be a real beast. With 3090? Thanks to the temporary Nvidia denoising... yes.

Thats exactly what I think, currently the high-end gpu is still in the reach of a human, while the high-end processor is getting ridiculously expensive. Thanks for sharing your tests
