Oh no! It didn't work! The picture is now upside down.... ohhhh myyyyy! LOL All joking aside, nice job there. In a few minutes, I start to work on this exact model. I hope that it's the power supply board as well and not the main board. Crossing fingers! 🤞🤞

I have the same problem, I changed the capacitors (they were swollen) but it doesn't work, I do have 12v on pins 9 and 8 Do you know if I have to have the 12v in the tcon pins? After a few tries it starts flashing 13 times, without turning on or showing anything.

good work but think as cheap as TV have got , seem like repair cost would not make it worth it but good work

I have same tv, same issue I think, the tv turns on to show the logo, then it turns off. Capacitors looks good visually, not bulging. How can I test if the power supply is bad and what is bad? How can I test capacitors? I also have that burn mark just like you have. I'll try to re-solder the resistors in that area, hopefully that will work.. Also when I tried to discharge the capacitors like you did, it made a big spark and noise.... is that ok?

I re-soldered the resister and tried to see if tv works, but it does the same thing. Also, after a try or two to turn on, the standby light is flashing 15 times. Do you know what it could be? Voltages seem ok, I only see that on the lower connecter on right side (CN201), I get 12V on pin 14, but on pin 13, I don't get that. What does that mean? Can it be the main board issue or still issue with power board?

yes thats ok, if it shows the logo then off you may have a mainboard issue that common on vizios

Same issue, I leave on and black out screen and turn off cable box. Temporary work around, but to have fixed probably could buy another TV. Where to buy capacitors? Thanks

Those are basic capacitors. Nothing special. If you have an electronics store in your area, you should have no problem buying them there. Unless something is different, some are 1000 uF at 16V (but you can use a higher voltage rating if that's all you can find) and others are 470 uF at 35V Again, higher voltage rating is fine. NOT LOWER FOR SURE!

I have the exact same model of TV and what appears to be the exact same problem. I will try to fix it thanks to this video. Mine also had the exact same overheating mark as this one does as well. What is that blue tool you are using? Is it needed?

Update, thanks to this video I've fixed my TV. After buying cheap soldering kits off of Amazon and having no luck I did more research and got better solder and used Flux and had great results.
